Zayden’s POV
“Celeste!!!” I yell out while trying to enter the barrier. I can’t get through; her body is lifeless, laying next to Devlin.
I turn to Oliver.
“Get her out of there, Oliver!” I yell at him. He needs to save her; she can’t leave like this.
Oliver walks towards the barrier and holds his hand out, the yellow light starts to disappear, and the wall slowly breaks.
He looks over his shoulder, sadness in his eyes.
“Her magic is fading; the barrier is breaking itself.” He says with grief-filled in his voice.
NO, she can’t be gone, not like this!
I look back towards Celeste, don’t die on me, Celeste!
The light completely disappears, the clouds drift away, and the wind comes to a stop. I break out in a run and go to Celeste.
I pick her weak body and hold her in my arms.
“Celeste, please wake up. Please.” I am not the one to cry or show any emotions. My wolf is crying, and I can’t control the tears falling from my eyes.
