Leila paces back and forth throughout the room.
It has been days since she last saw Ezra, and no doubt Ryu is bound to show up at anytime. Hayley watches with frustrated orbs as the woman paces before finally snapping, “Girl, you’re killing me. Stop it.”
Leila pauses in her tracks and takes a seat on the bed. She rubs a hand over the icy mark on her shoulder, a chill running down her spine at the sensation. She could definitely still feel Ezra and his emotions, so there was no question that he was alive.
But where is he? He should’ve been there with her.
She sighs. She can’t very well take up all his time. He was living a double life after all. Perhaps he had several staff meetings. He even cancelled his classes for the week. Something important must’ve happened.
Leila remembers Hayley’s figure standing there and states, “You shouldn’t be here, Hayley.”
She glares, placing her hands on her hips and counters, “Well where the hell else am I supposed to go?”
