She sits against the brick wall, watching with honey-brown eyes as the two men spar using weapons.
Metal clashes against metal, creating sparks at every hard contact. Hayley sits next to the woman and murmurs with fascinated eyes, “I wish he’d fight me like that.”
Leila frowns and replies quietly, “It’s probably good he doesn’t.”
Hayley elbows the woman lightly in the side and counters, “I’m supposed to be fighting against vampires. I’ve gotta keep up with them if I’m gonna do that.”
Of course, she was right, but Leila still didn’t like the thought of her friend and roommate fending off rogue creatures of the night. She sighs, leaning forward with her hand holding up her chin.
“This is boring.” she mumbles. Hayley stretches out and responds, “Well guarding you isn’t the most active thing especially when we’re here in this castle.”
