Chapter 35: The Other Alpha

The smell of forest invaded her nostrils before Mikki even opened her eyes. And as she did, she could barely see anything. The place was completely dark, as if there were no windows or lights around.

She blinked a few times, trying to adjust her sight to the darkness, and slowly, she could tell she was inside a room that looked more like a storage than anything else.

There were a couple of boxes piled up in one corner, and she was pretty sure she was standing on a mattress placed on the floor.

Mikki wasn’t feeling any pain, but as she tried to move to look at the other side of the room, she felt that her movements were contained.

Her hands and legs were tied up pretty strongly. She cursed and tried to remember how she ended up there, wherever ‘there’ was. But nothing came to mind.

She only remembered the darkness that embraced her as soon as she saw the guards outside of the mansion unconscious on the floor. She wasn’t even able to see the face of whoever took her.
