Impressions (2/2)

"Did I interrupt anything?" The figure of Jack appeared from the opening of the door, as he opened the door and entered the room, only to discover the strange atmosphere inside.

He was dressed in a black sweater and jeans that appeared to be quite old, with a scarf around his neck and black boots on his feet.

He had somewhat messy and unruly hair, but this didn't detract from his appearance; rather, it added a unique charm to it.

His blue sapphire eyes regarded the scene before him with a sense of helplessness.

When he heard Tom's confession, Jack felt an urge to face palm himself. Tom didn't even bother to sugar-coat or hide the truth.

He simply said everything to Dumbledore.

He could have intervene in this event, as it was a pivotal moment in fate that determined many future events, and various paths of destiny converged at this point.

He, however, did not.

It's not because, he wants to keep the future or the so-called plot intact in order to gain an advantage.

He actually doesn't care about the plot at all.

And this is the Marvel universe mingled with the Harry Potter universe.

The history of this combined world will be vastly different, and the legendary wizards of the past may still be alive and well, hidden from the rest of the world.

If he met the founders of Hogwarts in the future, he would not be surprised in the least.

It's just that, despite the fact that he and Tom appeared to be friends, they didn't completely trust each other.

As, the circumstances have shaped them into who they are now.

So, he's not going to go out of his way to help him now that he hasn't followed his advice.

As for whether Tom will follow his destined path and become Voldemort.

Jack had already figured out the answer.

"Oh, Jack," While speaking to Jack, Dumbledore's tone softened and his eyes softened. "You're not interfering with anything; I was just showing Tom some magic."

The difference in his attitude was so noticeable that Tom, who also needs to improve his ability to judge others and situations, also noticed it.

"Didn't Marvolo cause any problems, professor?" Jack inquired as he entered the room and sat right next to Tom in another chair. Tom was jolted out of his thoughts as a result of his words.

When Tom observed the differences in Dumbledore's treatment of them, he had only one thought. 'He freaking fooled him!' This revelation shocked his heart a little.

Dumbledore, on the other hand, couldn't read this thought because he is now focused on Jack.

"He is a wonderful child endowed with magic." Dumbledore gave an unexpectedly irreverent response, and he looked at the two of them in front of him with slight trepidation. He can't believe they're friends when they're so dissimilar in personality. "Its just he is very different from what I expected."

"When they first meet him, a lot of people say that." When Jack said this, he smiled and turned to face Tom, whose expression worsened with each of his words. "However, once you get to know him, he's completely different. He isn't always this depressed when he's with me." After he gave it some thought, he decided to speak up to at least give a Tom an advantage with Dumbledore.

Dumbledore also turned his gaze to Tom, watching his reaction.

"Isn't that right, Marvolo?" Jack pressed, noticing Tom's silence.

"Yes!" Tom turned and looked at Jack, complexly, but he understood what he was saying. Even though he couldn't understand why he was so wary of this man. But, he went along with Jack.

Despite the fact that Tom is aware of Dumbledore's power, he swore to make him pay for what he did today.

Dumbledore's face didn't change much after hearing this. However, he already has a perfect plan to change Tom; he had just come up with it when he saw Jack's influence on Tom.

In future, Dumbledore will always look back on this memory and moment in time, sighing at his so-called ridiculous plans and thoughts at the time.

"How come you call him Marvolo?" Dumbledore didn't say anything else about Tom's character, and he inquired with a nonchalant demeanour, as if he was simply curious.

'He's very sharp.' With a sigh of annoyance, Jack reflected. However, he did not respond any longer, refusing to give in to Dumbledore's further attempts.

As a result, he turned and looked at Marvolo, as if expecting him to respond to this question.

Yes, he successfully diverted Dumbledore's attention to Marvolo. For, the professor waiting for Tom's answer.

Yes, he was indeed a great friend to Marvolo.

"I asked him to call me that way." Tom's face twisted slightly as he replied. He was fully aware of Jack's actions and the meaning behind them.

However, Tom did not request that he be addressed by his middle name.

Jack always referred to him in this manner.

But, because it involved him, he still backed up Jack's actions with an answer.

Dumbledore's expression was subtle, "Oh." He then took a pocket watch from his coat pocket and opened it to check the time. "We really need to get out of here so we can get your supplies."

"It appears that you are already prepared, Tom." Dumbledore looked at the tom, who was dressed formally, unlike Jack before.

Tom simply nodded in acknowledgement.

Dumbledore then rose to his feet and made his way to the corridor outside.

"Come on. We can't afford to be late." He stated.

Tom and Jack exchanged a brief glance before exiting the room.

Tom also locked the door to his room.

They soon made their way down the stairs, as there was only silence between them throughout the process, with only occasional glares from Tom and Jack.

"Has everything been finished, Mr. Dumbledore?" Mrs. Cole inquired, having just walked out of her personal room to see them come down.

"Yes, everything went well." As they walked towards the front door, Dumbledore responded, and Mrs. Cole followed us by the lead, walking alongside Dumbledore.

"They didn't cause you any problems, did they?" Mrs. Cole inquired, concerned.

"They were exceptional children." Dumbledore voiced his opinion in order to prevent her from asking further questions about this. "We're leaving to get them the school supplies they need. They'll be back by the evening." Dumbledore told her about the situation.

Tom and Jack simply stood behind them, not intending to disrupt their conversation.

Mrs. Cole turned to face them and spoke with obvious concern and care. "Look after yourself."

"We will." Tom and Jack spoke in unison, but their tones differed because one was indifferent and the other was sincere.

Mrs. Cole waved at them before closing the door, as they were soon out of the orphanage.
