The End of Us

Ji-eun couldn't believe what she was reading. She read the message from Jungkook over and over again, hoping that it was just a bad dream. But the reality of the situation was sinking in, and tears began to stream down her face.

It had been several months since Ji-eun and Jungkook had last seen each other. After Jungkook had opened up to her about his struggles with his career, he had decided to take a break from the group to focus on his mental health.

Ji-eun had supported him through it all, sending him messages of encouragement and checking in on him regularly. She missed him terribly, but she knew that he needed this time to heal.

But now, out of nowhere, Jungkook was breaking up with her.

"I'm sorry, Ji-eun. I don't think we can continue our relationship. My focus needs to be on my career right now, and I don't want to hold you back. I hope you can understand," the message read.

Ji-eun felt like her heart had been shattered into a million pieces. She couldn't understand how Jungkook could just end their relationship like this, without any warning or explanation.

She tried calling him, but he didn't answer. She sent him a barrage of messages, begging him to talk to her and explain why he was doing this. But he didn't respond to any of them.

Ji-eun felt lost and alone. She had put her heart and soul into their relationship, and now it was all over. She couldn't imagine going back to her old life, the one she had before she met Jungkook. It felt like she had lost a part of herself.

Days turned into weeks, and Ji-eun tried to distract herself with work and friends. But everywhere she looked, she was reminded of Jungkook. His face was plastered on billboards and magazines, and his music played on the radio constantly.

She couldn't escape the memories of their time together, and it only made the pain of the breakup worse.

Finally, one day, Ji-eun received a message from Jungkook. Her heart raced as she opened it, hoping for some kind of explanation or apology.

But what she read made her heart sink even further.

"Hey, Ji-eun. I know it's been a while since we talked, but I wanted to make things clear. I don't think we should keep in touch anymore. I need to focus on my career, and I don't want any distractions. I hope you can move on and find someone who can give you what you deserve. Take care."

Ji-eun couldn't believe it. Jungkook was cutting her out of his life completely. She felt like she had been punched in the gut.

For weeks after that, Ji-eun couldn't eat or sleep properly. She felt like she was drowning in a sea of pain and heartbreak. But eventually, she realized that she couldn't let Jungkook control her life like this.

She forced herself to get up and start living again. She threw herself into her work and spent time with her friends, slowly but surely starting to heal.

Ji-eun knew that the road ahead wouldn't be easy. But she was determined to move on from Jungkook and find happiness again, even if it meant starting over from scratch.
