Chapter 22: Not Going as Planned

“How can we figure out if this is possible?” Vivian asked.

“I’ve got a friend, but I’m not sure she’d talk to us.” Before Everett could continue, Rebecca strolled back into the room, her eyes directly on Everett.

“So, how’s it going?”

“Do you have pictures of the gravesite, when you found the tablets specifically?” Everett asked.

“Yes, I do. Right, this way.”

Everett and Vivian followed Rebecca out of the isolated, protected room. Vivian could feel the instant tension in her shoulders as they walked by the vast expanse of windows, anyone being able to see them together. Every second she was with Everett out in the open was at risk. While she told Liam to stay in London, she had no way of knowing for sure that he did or that The Society didn’t send someone else to watch her in Greece.
