Chapter 53: Memories

Walking into the open courtyard, Vivian was instantly hit with a wave of nostalgia. Which was odd considering she’d only been here once before, but she’d never forgotten that night. Staring into Everett’s eyes as she took each step closer to him down the curved, iron staircase. Or the way it felt sliding her arm into his own, feeling the warmth and comfort of his body. Nor did she forget waking up in his bed, with his clothes on. Just the thought brought the memory of them together to the forefront of her mind. A memory she’d been trying desperately to bury deep in her subconscious for the last week.
