Chapter 68: Past Mistakes

If their history was any indication of what was going to happen, it did not look for Vivian. For a brief moment, or rather a lapse in judgment, all blamed on Everett, Vivian went against everything she was taught and did not kill Liam that night he tried to kill her in her apartment in London. Two minutes. If she’d held on for two more minutes that night, Liam would’ve died. Then he couldn't have told The Society about Everett or be standing here seemingly running a vampire pack in New Orleans. Because he’d be dead.

“God, I really should've killed you,” Vivian murmured as Liam stepped into the light. She wouldn’t make that mistake again.

“Viv.” Liam cocked his head to the side, narrowing his eyes at Vivian, as a slight smile started to crawl across his shadowed face. “Good to see you again.”
