TWIST OF FATE

“What the hell is this?” Heather demanded while she still stood at the edge of my driveway. She was holding her binder filled with the wedding plans in one hand. She must’ve decided to come over and talk about wedding stuff since she knew I had the night off. 


“Heather,” Finn started, his eyes wide. He looked as terrified as I felt right now. “It was nothing!”


“Nothing?!” Heather practically shouted. “You guys are sucking face out here and you’re gonna tell me that its ‘nothing’?” 


I was on Heather’s side in this one. Really, out of all the first reactions Finn could’ve had, he went with ‘it was nothing’? That made it seem like it was a one-time thing, like he just randomly decided to kiss me out of nowhere. Is that really what he wanted Heather to think?


Regardless, I had to push aside my anger at Finn right now. I had to figure out how to fix this as fast as I could.


I started walking toward her. “Heather, please, let me explain.”
