Chapter 32: Perfect Timing

I woke up in a much better mood the next day. The sun shone brighter than ever, and I had gotten rid of the bags under my eyes by actually getting a full night’s sleep.

Even though I had another day off, I refused to stay at home and do nothing again. I decided to run some errands that I’d been pushing off for a while.

I threw on one of the outfits I’d bought the day before, one that Heather rated a nine out of ten. I started the day with a matcha to-go, made by my mom, who pointed out my good mood.

That fueled my fire as I made my way through the grocery store, then some shops where I browsed for new items to decorate either the bakery or my bedroom.

I picked out some blue marbled coasters. They could definitely add some color to the bakery, but I’d have to ask Addie first. She was way better at knowing which colors went with others, and how to match the aesthetic of a room with its decorations. I snapped a picture of them and sent them to her.
