Chapter Sixty Nine

Mia's point of view

Rumours were spreading around the class, it was said that we have a new student. But I still have not seen a new face yet.

I opened the novel I got from aunt Leila this morning and began to flip through the pages. The story was engulfing, aunt Leila said I was going to love it and I sure did. It is a story about a mafia boss who fell in love with his maid, it had some mature content in it that made me feel self conscious of what was happening around me. Olivia was with her phone and she was listening to music.

We are not allowed to bring our phones to school. But Olivia somehow manages to brings hers. I looked down to my book and continued reading, I was at the place where the mafia boss told his maid not to leave his room after they heard a gun shot. I was scared of the next thing that might happen, but when the writer wrote what the maid was thinking about. From there, I knew she was going to disobey.
