Cele turned away curtly, towards Rudolf. The worst part was that he couldn't even gripe about the issue. He couldn't tell the captain how irate the actions of Heiko and Gustaf made him because it wasn't sensible. It had no reason, no purpose, and what was more, it had no prospect.

None of these emotions had any sort of faculty, because at that very moment, Cele was watching this young man reinstate himself as a Muse - a Muse of Temperance. A Muse that was devoting himself to the gods and to no one else. And Cele was aiding this.

Not that there was much a choice. The safety of Ilyos was reliant upon this.

"Oi," Rudolf exhaled, elbowing the general to get his attention. "What's got you so red in the face?"

"Huh?" He countered a bit sharper than intended.

"You look feverish."

Cele lifted that back of his fingers to his cheeks in response to his commentary and found his skin hot to the touch.

"It's nothing," the general said dismissively. "I'm tired."
