She cared about the dress and closes the door, hearing Ryan's voice who was calling her out so that they go together for versity.
"Yes, I'm coming." She shouted.
Continue,
The weather conditions are not so good. Lightning flashes in the sky with falls of rainfall. The hall of the museum has been decorated gorgeously. The red carpet has been wrapped from the entrance to the main hall.
Ryan and June are enjoying the exhibition by walking around. Some of the well-known artists, researchers and professors and some of their common friends also came here. Ryan and June are greeting them.
Suddenly, Ryan's phone started ringing.
"June," Ryan whispered in June's ear. "I need to take the call. I am going outside."
"Ok," said June.
"Excuse me, guys," said Ryan and went outside of the exhibition.
"I will cover that. No problem......"
Ryan was talking on his phone suddenly he noticed a black Mazda cx-9 was going into the parking lot in the underground. A bike was behind that car. He figured the car owner was certainly a part of the exhibition. But that bike seems suspicious.
"Joe, I'll call you back later," said Ryan to the person on the phone.
He puts the phone in his pocket and starts following that bike in the underground. He saw from a farther behind a car that the bike stopped at a distance from the car. A person, probably in his 40 or more, came out of that car. That person behind him got off the bike.
He pulls a burglar out of his pocket and rushes to attack the man who got out of the car. Before that person from the car could notice that, Ryan grabs his hand from behind and holds his mouth by the other hand then drags him to a corner. He slams him on the wall holding his mouth and pins the other hand with the burglar upper from his head.
He looks at the person who got out of the car. That person didn't notice anything so he just walked inside the building. That attacker suddenly kicks Ryan in his stomach. Both of Ryan's hands get loosen on him. He takes the chance and tries to put that burglar inside the side of Ryan's stomach but Ryan grabs his hand and twists it on his back which makes him scream.
"Why were you attacking him?" asked Ryan. "Who was that person? Do you know him?"
"I was told to do that," he said. "I don't know him."
"Who are you?" asked Ryan. "Who sent you?"
"Ugh.." he moans. "I can't tell you that. Let me go if you care for your life."
Ryan twists his arm harder and kicks in his main point which made scream and fall sliding against the wall.
Ryan comes out from the underground and notices he has cut his left hand slightly. He shakes the blood from his hands and took out his phone from his pocket then dials June's number.
"Yes, brother," said June receiving the call.
"June," said Ryan. "Did you notice a middle-aged gentleman joined in the exhibition a few minutes ago?"
"No, I didn't," said June.
"Look around you," he said. "He is wearing a light blue shirt and a suit."
"Ok," said June.
June is searching for that man but she didn't have to search hard, she found him easily. But she couldn't find the reason why he told her to keep an eye on him.
He looks normal like any other here. He was greeting the well-knowns and chatting with the students. But after some time she noticed he kept looking for someone. He kept looking until he locked his eyes on a gentleman.
June knew that gentleman. He was an assistant professor in the material science and technology department.
She noticed they looked at each other for a while. One hour later they left the museum. They neither talked nor had any eye contact after that moment. When they were leaving June was following them and she noticed Noah outside in the corridor.
Noah also noticed her. He yolked his eyebrows, "What are you doing here?" he said.
"Why should I tell you?" said June.
"You don't seem to be a convenient person to me," said Noah. "You will go and make trouble for anybody without listening to them. You are indeed good at that. Wait...are you after me this time?"
"I don't have time to waste on you without reason," said June. "So please excuse me."
"Whatever," said Noah and left.
She saw that person was talking with someone on his phone but she couldn't hear him. If she tries to go a little bit closer, she is afraid that he would notice her. So she tries to read his expression.
He talked for some time and went toward the underground. He spotted his car, got into that and left.
"Don't tell me you are after him," a familiar jovial voice came from her behind.
She jolt out and turned over only to see Noah, who was standing behind her with a suspicious expression on his face.
"You...why you again?" said June.
"You really don't have any work besides following people, do you?" said Noah.
"Why's that your business?" June aggrieved. "I'm not after you... instead looks like you are after me this time."
"Likewise, I don't do any silly business nor do I have time," said Noah. "Just tell me why are you after him?"
"That......." *bang bang*
June was about to say something but they heard some jaaz from outside. They ran outside and saw some miscreants on their bikes, were making some fuss.
June remembered that the person whom she was following just left some moments ago. She doubted if these people were after him. She immediately tries to call Ryan.
But suddenly, Noah pulled her by her arms toward him. She falls into his arms and noticed a big stone was thrown at her. She jolt out from his arm and grabbed her phone, which was dropped in the spur of the moment and broke.
"Tsk," June flustered.
She turned back to Noah and said, "Thank you."
Noah didn't reply to her. He seemed to be lost in his thoughts. June noticed Eva was there too but at a distance and Ryan was beside her. She figured out something in her mind and gave a suspicious look at Noah. But didn't say anything to him because she knew it was useless.
[6:45 PM, At the bus stop]
"Who would believe that we are the children of one of the most famous businessmen and investors in the country, Mr.Young," said Ryan and started whining. "I asked him at least for thousand times to buy a car for us. But he is sticking to his 'YOU SHOULD HAVE A TASTE OF ASTRINGENCY' rules like glue. He never turns you down why don't you talk to him about that? This is my last year why don't you do this favour to your only brother, huh?"
June kept silent which made Ryan more furious. "Hey, are you deaf? Why are you annoying an already annoyed person? Say something, you stupid little bi*ch.."
"Shut up," said June.
"You...ah...I forgot..you didn't say anything about that man. What happened there when you followed him?"
June was about to say something but she noticed a young girl was sitting on the bench beside them. Ryan followed June's sight and also noticed her.
It was dark so nothing was clear but in that limited glimmer of the street lamp, they noticed she was a teenage girl.
Suddenly, a passing car's headlight landed on her and June noticed the logo on her huddie. She predicted something is not right with this girl. She can't be an ordinary little girl who's taking the bus.
[June's POV]
{People say it's hard to avoid the moment when your life starts turning. Although I have experienced a lot of turnings in my life and it's nothing special for me still I didn't even realize the wink of that moment at that time.
I was just going deeper in when every moment was screaming the hint and I was wearing a blindfold. It was just the beginning of the endless turn.
However, no matter what happens I never was the one who would regret it. But I also wasn't the one to cherish it either. So, the vivid sound of his heartbeat on that rainy day I was able to hear only for less than one second, I don't know how to forget it or where to keep it.}
