Disco JJ

“So why are you here? Got tired of being doing nothing for hours?” I ask him and he shoots me with his eyes daggers knowing behind me my girls are right there and he is going to try something funny that will not sit well with me, I smile at how I love to taunt him so much.

“Actually, I’m here to pick you up, I had to pick my friend who I haven’t introduced, Daphne met Maxwell, Max this is my obnoxious baby sister Diva Daph.” I punch his shoulder at how he is embarrassing me in front of this hot guy.

“Auch sis that was a hard punch, what did I do wrong?” He puts his hands up like a surrender boy going behind Max as I still have my hand up in a fist.

“You know what I find amusing bro?” I state with a grin on my face.

“What?” He asks all curious as his friend is holding a chuckle I smile at how easy he is going to fall.

“You usually drive girls around got tired of that now hitting on poor old Max here?” He puts his hands down and his shooting daggers at me clenching his jaw as Max and I laugh.

“Not funny. He was just in need of a small vacation and thought it would be nice to visit, stay to unwind with us since he doesn’t have a family to be staying with.” My brother answers as he takes his car keys out to go walk some steps to his car.

“Oh, well I will see you both at home my car is at the library and I need to finish my Summer homework.” Max whistles at my state.

“Thought and smart attorney? Look out world the Diva has got some serious powers here.” I smile at his compliment, he may be sharp on the edges but he does know how to talk, sometimes.

“What do you do Maxwell?” He straitens his polo shirt as he walks to my brother to look behind where I am.

“I’m a general doctor for a private family. We will talk more later, okay?” I nod at him and turn to go to the council's office to then hit the library.

It’s been two hours and it’s officially eight at night, my homework is all done, emailed to their respected Professors, and the others are set to be hand-delivered soon, I called my office to learn I work tomorrow at eight in the morning. Stretching my hands up I’m looking at my surroundings to see Maxwell walk into the building looking around like a lost puppy, uh wonder why he is here of all places.

I wave my hands to get his attention and he smiles at me, then picks his pace to me, my cell vibrates to my side, I pick it up and on the other side my Dj friend JJ texted me with a group ticket for my girls and me to go but I work tomorrow so I will just tell Jeny to get them after she got married she has been really different, mostly going out at night and such.

“Hey there you are, I got a car rented to look around but Tito said you haven’t come back so I was wondering what you were up to, guess your brother did not lie when he said you are a hard student.” He says as he flips one of the books I used to research open.

Taking my things in my bag, I close all the books to place them in the front so the librarian can place them where they go while I talk to Max. “Yes well, I want a life I can say I’m proud of, I’m almost close to finishing getting my education to get a good home, work to then go my main goal, finding Mister Right. My Mister Perfect.” He smiles at that last word I guess but his cheeky smile is plaster on his face.

“Sounds like a perfect plan, not many do that now day’s. You seem to be a strong woman with the right mindset. Not gonna lie I don’t think finding a guy will be that difficult but I know you will be picky, good thing too, easy is overrated.” He says placing his hands in his pockets.

“You always this macho, sharp edge, and straightforward with girls?” I ask him plainly and his eyebrows shoot up, clearly not expecting my question.

“No, only with girls I find to be respected. You don’t look like a kid or drama teenager, it’s clear you are a woman of high value, but I’m hoping to know under all the strength there is a sweet girl who would love to be pampered.?” He says with more reassurance and hush tones, if the library wasn't dead silent I swear his last words I wouldn't have heard them.

“Yea, but that is reserved for the guy who gets me. Not my brother's friend, doctor or not I don’t do mean first then nice, I like a guy who is himself, doesn’t simply change his story because he thinks things will be easier.” I say as I walk to the door which he opens for me and I thank him.

As he walks to my side he opens the send set of doors and I see his car is parked right next to mine. I look to my side to keep talking to him just enough till we get home. Me going home with another guy? I never thought I would see the day when that actually happened.

“Well, I guess we both get on our way to my parents,” I state as he is looking at his text out of the blue.

“Yea, I’m sorry for this I needed to answer that text message. Seems like a good idea. Aren’t you hungry though, maybe we could eat before we get back to the house, on me?” He asks me as I take my first step away from him, I turn to him to nod and get in my car.
