Asher's body is lying on the Green Grass Field.

His eyes is still shut, telling that he's still asleep

''....''

The forest is loud and full of wild animals, so some non-dangerous deer, that saw Asher's body when it's travelling in the forest, approach it and take a look at it curiously.

*Step* *Step*

Every step on it to Asher is cautious as the deer doesn't know what kind of creature is this.

The deer finally got near at Asher's sleeping body after 10 steps.

''....'' It kept looking at him, it's observing a new creature it saw today.

The deer then lowered it's head, opening it's mouth to lick Asher's left cheek.

*Lick* *Lick*

'Mmm... Taste good.'

Asher felt it and slowly wokes up, opening his sleepy eyes suddenly, and it startles the deer. It run very quickly, as if it teleported when it tried to escape.

Asher didn't even saw a creature when he woke up and felt wet on his cheeks.

He then touched it cautiously and observed it, whether it's a dangerous liquid or not.

'It's just a normal saliva...' He then rub his wet fingers on his pajama sleeves.

''Haah....'' He yawned while raising his arms.

He slowly tried to get up from his sitting position.

Slowly getting up in the process, Asher suddenly clutched his head with his two hands.

''What the...?'' The headache made Asher sit again.

''Arggh! What's with these?!'' The headache became much worse every second, it made Asher confused.

What the hell is happening?

''Ahhh! Fuck!'' He can't contain the pain anymore and cursed loudly.

That startle a lot of animals...

''....!'' Asher became very alert when something powerful is approaching him at a very insane speed.

''ROOOOAR!'' The roar echoed to the forest.

And predators.

'Hah... I'm so stupid...' Asher blamed his stupidity while running away from his chaser very quickly, using his mana rapidly on his legs as the monster who's chasing him is a creature that he can't defeat and will just be devoured helplessly when he got caught.

''Mngh...'' He bit his lip in the process, trying to be quiet as the pain is tempting him to scream again.

''ROOOAR!'' The big chimera looking lion roared again, chasing Asher while salivating on it's food when it sense that Asher got an insane amount of mana inside him.

The Lion is 16 feet tall, having two heads, many scars on it's skins and a long snake on it's tail. It also has a yellowish and black color on it's skins.

It's claws and feet have a very sharp nails that has an acidic effect when it claws somebody, making it more lethal.

''....!'' The Lion became immediately alerted when it sense that Asher's presence suddenly disappeared, almost as if the prey it's chasing is never real...

''Grrr....'' The Lion growled when it cannot sense Asher.

The Lion has a great sense of smell so it smells blood... From Asher's lips when he bit his lips earlier to be quiet.

It sense the smell from that big boulder...

''Grrreulhehee...'' The lion laughed confidently when it's going to have a breakfast today.

The lion then sprint towards to the big boulder at an insane speed, it's as if it's going to crush Asher with it's size.

It then jumps to it while roaring loudly at the same time.

''ROOOAR-'' When the lion is about to destroy the big boulder, unfortunately, it got interrupted.

''Growl...'' A 20 feet bear holds the lion's legs, while salivating at it's breakfast today.

This is a jackpot this time as most animals run away when they see the bear.

So the bear is hopeless when it cannot chase it's preys as the bear is too slow due to it's sheer size.

''....?!'' The lion became surprised when it didn't sense the bear.

''ROOOAR!'' The lion didn't became scared and instead tried to fight back, trying to bite the Bear's arms with it's very acidic and sharp mouth.

Because it's a lion, it has a pride for being king of the forest.... Or a jungle?

*Chomp*

''ROOOAR!!'' The bear roared in pain, it then raised it's hand, trying to claw the lion's head.

*Swish!*

The claw pierced through the head of the lion, and smashing the head into a paste in the process when it contact to the huge fist of the bear.

*Drops*

The lion drops down, it's dead.

*Sniff* *Sniff...*

The bear sniffs and it found Asher, but it's not interested with him because he's too small and the bear already has food.

He didn't even wanted to waste time, chasing this little guy when it cannot even fill his hunger at the end.

So the huge titan bear walks towards to it's territory, going to have a delicious breakfast today

*Shake* *Shake*

Every step the bear did shakes a large part of the forest and in prints a large foot print onto the ground.

....

After a while, the forest became quiet again but no animals is nearby.

It's the cause of the bear and the lion earlier.

*Drops*

Something humanoid falls down from the tall tree.

It's Asher.

''Hah... Hah...'' While on lying on the ground, he's breathing heavily.

The extreme pain and the pressure of almost getting devoured earlier made him very tired mentally.

He's sweating heavily.

Luckily, the headache stopped when the bear killed the lion.

''Hah...'' He tried to stand up, while calming down his mind and stabilize his heavy breathing at the same time.

His whole body is shaking a little from the Lion's roar.

Almost like a fear skill...

This is his first time experiencing it.

To explain his state right now? It's because this isn't his near death experience he experienced on earth.

The lion's roar made him like this but the bear came and made his state even worse.

To calm himself down, he meditate and put a mental calming spell on himself.

Though this isn't the best place to meditate, he still have his guard on if something like earlier happens again.

He needs to be calm at this dangerous situation.

That lion earlier hit him deeply. He's going to have a problem with a lion starting today...

After a while of meditating and using his mental spell every time on himself,

''Hah...'' Asher breath out comfortably. That process actually take much longer than usual.

''Why the hell did I encounter a B+ rank Chimera lion and a A- [Titan bear] on my first day here...'' Asher complained his luck while slowly standing up.

''I have to get out in this forest...'' Asher muttered.

He can't stay in this dangerous forest for too long.

Who knows he might encounter an monster that is much worse than the bear or lion.

''[Sight Seeing].'' Asher muttered a sensing type spell to himself.

It's an B class spell, draining his mana by 5%

''Cough! Cough!'' Asher coughed blood violently.

He won't have a problem using this spell earlier at his normal state, but to escape that lion, he have to be more faster than it.

So he almost uses most of his mana.

And the bear earlier, it isn't a coincidence that it's there.

Asher read books about monsters, and the bear and lion are there in that book he read,

[Titan Bear] is what the bear's monster name.

Do to it's massive size, incredible strength and durability, that's how it got it's name.

A barbaric tank type monster.

The [Titan Bear] doesn't care what it eats, but the size matters.

If the prey is too small, the [Titan Bear] would ignore it and try to target large ones that it can handle.

The chimera lion is perfect for that so Asher run towards to the bear, not too close to it but he needs to be near to the bear so the bear can sense the lion and try to sneak on it.

''Thank god the bear isn't very hungry...'' Asher sighed in relief.

The gamble of whether the bear would ignore him and focus on the chimera lion first is nerve racking.

After observing his surroundings for a while, he decide to meditate to absorb some pure mana in this forest.

He of course, meditate in a hidden place on what he could find.

''This isn't a best place to meditate but at least it's more safer than outside...'' Asher said when he looked at his hiding spot.

It's full of holes, meaning someone lived in here before.

He then sit down in meditating position and focus on absorbing mana in his surroundings.

''Hah.... Humph!'' Asher got surprise by this immense amount of mana in here.

Asher's mana pool is filling up very quickly.

1 hour later.

After almost filling half of his mana pool, he decide that it's enough.

He have to get out of this dangerous forest first.

After getting out from a crack of the huge tree, he realize this place is really big.

But when he realized this is from his consciousness, he then facepalmed himself.

''Somehow, I felt an idiot for worrying getting devoured by that lion...'' Asher muttered.

[But you're not.] An childish female voice suddenly interrupted him.

''....!'' That actually surprised him, almost using a magic spell to escape.

''Fuck...'' Asher shouted quietly from frustration. He kept getting surprised on these days!

''Wait...'' Asher realized someone spoke.

After thinking possibilities on how did that being got inside his Sea of Consciousness, he asked.

''Hah.... Are you the creator of this trial or are you a guide for me on this trial?''

[Both.]

''....''

[You're pretty a thinker for suspecting me like that in just a few seconds, but I don't mind that. Well, that just depends on the trial whether you passed or not.]

[But congratulation on surviving that lion! Especially with that very pathetic C- Agility, I'm surprised you managed to trick that lion.] The Creator/Guide praised Asher.

[What's more, you're just a kid. An 6 years old kid.]

[I'm not sure if your one of those fated lower beings whose born from lower realm that got born with a talent that is completely comparable to an higher being like me.]

[Are you one of those, ''Fated Ones'' or something?]

''....'' Asher didn't answer. Neither agreeing nor disagreeing at her question.

[Well it's natural that you won't answer as those ''Fated Ones'' didn't even know they are fated to something.]

[But enough of that as I'm here to guide you about the trials.

[Well you might read books that some are about to me, [The Mother Of The Witch.] Sound's lame, right?]

''Yes, I already read about yours but I disagree about the title part, considering you're the first witch ever, it make sense you got the title of that.'' Asher disagree, reasoning his disagreement to the witch.

[Maybe your naming sense just suck like the others who named my title.]

''Krk..'' That sentence hit the target inside of Asher.

[Well enough of this and let's get started.] The mother of the witch nonchalantly said.

[You know, I'm surprised that there's still books about me, considering I'm an very ancient being. The most of the humans might already forgotten me.] The witch said with an surprise tone.

''Your title is still popular as ever.'' Asher refuted.

[Probably, anyway your probably wondering on why I'm caring about lower beings.]

''I didn't but I will still listen about it as it was told from the Mother of witch.''

[...That was a good flattery.]

[Anyway, it's pretty a mystery on how did you got my first growth potion, considering it's very old. I'm still at the lower realm at that day when I created it.]

[I know that the information is expensive but tell me about it. I might give you a potion that is more effective than this,]

[Or if that information satisfy me, I might give you some of the abilities that isn't from this realm.

''....''

After thinking about it.

''I'm sorry, but I won't tell about it.''

[Oh?] The Witch raised an eyebrow.

Such a tempting offer was denied...

So she tried a new way to get information.

[You know... I can control anything in here, In your Sea of Consciousness.]

[Everyone knows that even getting your Sea of Consciousness gets damaged, even just a little, still hurts like hell.]

[You didn't experienced it yet but what would happen if I damaged a large part of your Sea of Consciousness here. Would you tell me about it on this threat?]

''No.'' Asher remained firm.

Why would he sell the information about the System?

[Hmm... Really? You won't?]

''I'm sorry, but no. I'm just very indebted to someone who gave me this.''

[....] The witch squinted her eyes.

This kid isn't clearly normal. It's impossible to get this potion because it's already a been millions years old since she stop producing her first potion.

But this little guy got it, it's even in perfect condition.

[.....] She squinted her eyes while looking at him.

*Gulp*

Asher is becoming nervous and sweating every second because the pressure of the Witch emitted is becoming stronger every second.

He was slowly kneeling in the process.

But suddenly, the pressure stops.

''...?'' After noticing this, he looked confused.

[Hah... Well, I can just take the effect of the potion when you failed the trial.]

[So be grateful I didn't forced you more.]

''Thank you.'' Asher bowed, expressing his gratefulness to the witch.

[Well anyway, back to the explaining time.]

[The reason I make this trial is because of some book I read from I don't know years ago, I grasped some knowledge of it that an Great Item causes war because of Human Greed. Or maybe if some unworthy human got an great item, and causes a calamity on humanity.]

[I was a softie at that time so I created this.]

[To create this trial pretty much take a decade but it's worth it as I got better at some unimaginable things you didn't know.]

[Okay, maybe that's enough backstory and just start the trial.]

''....'' Asher doesn't know how to react at sudden changes to Emily when she speak.

Almost as if she has a different personalities mode...

But there's still the immense gracefulness that pressure's Asher when she talk. Still, it's pretty weird for a higher being like her to act like this.

[I don't care what thought you have to me, let's just start the trial and focus on it.]

Asher nodded.

[This trial is about testing the personality of an creature, whether he/she is worthy or not.]

[And I'm here to judge you whether you're worthy of the potion or not.]

[So the trial is pretty easy. Not complicated unlike most of the trials of someone.]

[Well that was natural as they were passing their legacy to the lucky person.]

''....''

[Oh! I almost forgotten this, about the pain you felt earlier, where you almost got devoured, I'll explain it here so you don't to hold the feeling of frustration for too long.]

''...!''

[Heh.]

[The extreme headache you felt earlier is the cause of my actions, trying to forcefully go to your Sea of Conscious and it gets worse because I'm trying to control the whole place. Your whole mind to be exact.]

[I know, it sounds dangerous to you and it you're worried about it but you don't need to have to worry about your Sea of Consciousness getting damaged as I done this process a lot of times.]

[If I damaged your mind, even just a minuscule amount, I will give you the potion's effect without the trial.] The witch challenged herself confidently.

Of course this was just a lie but she just tell this bluff to reassure Asher.

And she really can't give someone the potion's effect without having the trial as it will break her oaths when she was still a lower being.

''That's... reassuring.''

[Also, the consequences of failing the trial depends on your body's toughness.]

[As I will forcefully get my potion's effect inside your body, it will causes some problems inside there if I did that.]

[So... I don't know if you will survive or not if you failed the trial.]

[Okay, that all for today. I'm still in here but just observing you from the distance which you will obviously not notice.]

''Wait!'' Asher is going to ask something but the witch already disappears.

''....''

''Hah... I wonder if this is really a personality test.'' Asher muttered when he sense some monster that is approach him in a fast speed.

''Well at least I'll still benefit from it.'' Asher said with an smile.

But when it sense that the monster has no soul,

''Maybe not...''

The monster then got nearer every second.

''...?'' He then sense something coming towards to him.

It's an three arrows, shooting from different sides. It has coating with an green liquid means it's poisonous.

He then side step to avoid those.

''There's so many different types of monster here...'' Asher muttered when it sense red skinned goblins and a dinosaur who's running towards to him.

''Maybe I can train here...'' He then take a step back and jump towards to those sneak goblins.

''Kekeke...'' The goblins make a disgusting sound.

''Here goes nothing...'' Asher muttered when he raised his elbow and lower his fist to punch the head of an goblin in front of him

''Guuuaahhh!'' The goblin shouted, running towards to Asher.

I think my writings got better....

And sorry for the late update cuz I was too busy reading some novel I saw today.

And I think my grammar and writings improve because of reading that.
