Suicide

Alone and lonely are two things Syrena currently feels. Even though when she was little, Syrena often got punishment in her room, now it feels different when her husband locks her in his room.

That morning it rained heavily for a long time. Syrena stared out the window from her bed.

A chill quickly overtook the room as the windows opened.Syrena's legs moved restlessly from the cold. The brunette princess pulled THE blanket up, covering her entire body except for her head.

When rained, the most comfortable to sleep. However, the drowsiness seemed to disappear. The brunette princess just had woken up after two days of being unconscious.

When alone, Syrena's memory repeated the events she had recently experienced. Prince Agenor's sighs were still audible, and the warmth of his breath was still on her skin.

[Oh my Gosh, I'm going to go crazy if I continue like this!]

After Prince Agenor's departure, the servants came to help clean up her body. The princess of Ruxenia was embarrassed when the maids found her in a state of chaos.

Although the prince had not had time to enter her last night, Prince Agenor had torn off her dress. It was causing the maid to see Prince Agenor's kiss marks on her chest.

The maids' faces turned red as they stared at the brunette princess. Meanwhile, she couldn't do much because her body condition had not improved.

"I think you are a lucky woman, Princess Syrena." The maid in two braids helped Syrena sit up and change her clothes.

Syrena just remained silent, not responding to the maid's words. She couldn't understand the maid's way of thinking.

How could a marriage without love be equated with luck? Was it because Prince Agenor was a charming man? Or was it because of his royal blood?

Contrary, Syrena wasn't dazzled by those two. She has her standards, to whom her heart will find destiny.

"Even though Prince Agenor looks bad to you, you are still alive today." The maid with two braids smiled mysteriously.

The maid's statement caught Syrena's attention. She didn't know anything about her husband. Except for the few things Nyxe had told her.

"What do you mean? Did Prince Agenor kill his women?" Syrena asked the maid who was combing her shiny brown hair.

"You're right. Several girls we know died before they even had a chance to spend the night with Prince Agenor. Some of them died after the first night."

At that time, Syrena felt goosebumps. She recalled how Prince Agenor's breath burned her skin.

Syrena realised that her husband was a man with a bad temper. She had nearly lost her life since her encounter with Prince Agenor. Also, Prince Agenor's confession in his dream.

[I thought the dream was because I heard Prince Agenor's gossip. It turns out that he did kill the women who approached him.]

"You don't have to worry, Your Majesty! I think he will pay more attention to you after you are pregnant."

The maid of two braids gripped Syrena's weak hand. The maid's words caused Syrena to feel even more threatened. She felt imprisoned, and the prince would make her a sex slave. Moreover, the man wouldn't let her out of his room.

[I will never give birth to his child.]

Suddenly a loud sound of thunder startled Syrena and the maids. Syrena stared out the window. It was raining heavily, and the wind was blowing hard.

Escape. One word that kept echoing in Syrena's head. But how could it be? Meanwhile, the guards were always standing at the door?

"Is Prince Agenor still training his soldiers?" asked Syrena curiously.

"You also seem to care about Prince Agenor. Yes, Your Majesty. He is a prince who is strict in training his soldiers. So don't be surprised if his army conquers many lands in Exosialand continent."

The brunette princess sighed. She smiled, pretending to worry about the man who almost killed her.

After the maids left, Syrena again contemplated the fate of her marriage. She felt empty and frustrated. It seems that Syrena had an idea for suicide.

The soul of an honourable woman would not be willing to become a sex slave for any man. The silver-eyed princess stared at the balcony door. Her heart seemed to be beating fast.

Syrena slowly got up. Her body felt weak and sore. But she had a strong desire to end the humiliation against her. She will determine her destiny. Or to whom she would give her love.

The princess of Ruxenia sat on the edge of the bed for a while. Then she limped towards the balcony door. She even nearly fell before grabbing the doorknob.

Nervously, Syrena opened the balcony door. A strong wind immediately hit her body. Her beautiful brown hair fluttered, and so did her dress.

[The first suicide attempt failed. Okay, I was stupid then. I didn't think the prince would stop me from committing suicide. But now, it seemed like a more opportune time. He is not here.]

Syrena's hand gripped the balcony railing. She stared far to the south of the castle. There was a group of Lagardioz soldiers who were training to fight. While around the castle, no guards were hanging around because of the rain.

The corners of Syrena's lips twitched upwards. She smiled even though his heart was crying. She felt stuck and had no other choice.

"...and finally, the beautiful princess and the charming prince live happily."

Syrena suddenly remembered what her mother had said at the end of every story she read.

[Trash story! Stupid destiny of life!]

Syrena cursed in her heart. Since childhood, she has imagined romantic adult life. Whatever she imagined about the princess's wedding was a beauty. It was as if she had to forget that The kings mostly politically arranged the princess's marriage.

King Dione's daughter stared under the castle. Prince Agenor's room was at the castle top. When she fell, her bones and head would break.

[If I jump now, no eyewitnesses will see me. If my father heard the news of my suicide, maybe he would sue politically. But the Ruxenia kingdom was too weak to suppress the Lagardioz kingdom in any way.]

Before jumping, Syrena thought about the various possibilities that could happen. So the news doesn't matter. On the other hand, Prince Agenor would say that the princess died by accidental drift. Whatever it was no longer important. Syrena just wanted to be free, and the people of Ruxenia didn't have to bear the burden because she suicide.

After her determination was strong, she rolled up the skirt. She tried to put her foot on the railing. And then her hands were holding on to the fence behind her. The rain and strong wind did not dampen her intentions at all.

She was ready to jump.

[Goodbye! Now I'm free!]
