"Just as this moon is looking at me, in the same way, he looks at me desperately. There is magic in his eyes that makes me want to be his. As soon as he grazes me, my body catches fire and I suffer like a fish without water." The mind was not able to think in the other direction because Jane Dover was constantly lost in the thoughts of Darius Simard. Neither did she know about the day nor did he know that it was night. She was just standing on the balcony and embracing the cold air in her arms, he was being recollected but he had not returned yet.
"Darius." She smiled in a stupor while calling his name.
"Princess."
Jane Dover came back to her senses and turned back to look at Sinja.
"You have kept yourself locked here since morning. Neither did you go for a walk in the garden today nor did you dress your hair in the evening. How is your health?"
"I am fine. Come, get my hair done." Jane Dover smiled and went to the bedroom. She sat in front of the big mirror and Sinja picked up the wooden comb.
"Princess, if you don't mind, can I ask you something?"
"Sure." Jane over smiled politely.
"What magic did you cast on the prince that he got you married and brought you here?"
"What do you think?" Jane Dover smiled shyly.
"Not only in the palace but in the whole of Winsonland, two things are discussed."
"And what are those two things?" She was curious to know.
"The first thing is that the public has gone mad after hearing the stories of your beauty and wants to see you."
"They want to see me?" Jane Dover looked at Sinja from the mirror with surprise.
"Yes. And there is also this rumour in the palace, maybe you will be there in the occasion which will be celebrated after the return of the king and if there will be public in that procession, then everyone is eager to see you." Sinja was enthusiastic.
"Well, now let's hear the other news, too."
"Secondly, it has been rumoured that you must have cast some magic on our prince that is why he has changed."
"Really? Have you seen that magic?" Jane Dover took it as a joke.
"No princess." Sinja twitched her mouth.
"But I am telling the truth. You do not know how addicted and luxurious the prince was before marriage in search of alcohol and women. He was always around women and had nothing to do with the affairs of the state. But now he has got the women's palace vacated."
Jane Dover kept staring at her with surprise as it was unexpected.
"All the women have been asked to go to their homes and those who cannot go have been given some work so that they can live their life by living in this state with dignity."
Jane Dover turned back and looked at Sinja seriously.
"Are you telling the truth, Sinja?"
"Princess, anything you want to know about this palace or Winsonland, I am the best person. The maids of the palace call me a news magazine."
Jane Dover blinked her eyes and could not understand what she meant? Sinja put the wooden comb on the stand and bent down on her knees.
"Princess, you do not know that prince did not spend a single night in this room. He used to spend every night in the women's palace where there was a gathering of both wine and women. But since he has returned with you, he has not gone there. He has ordered every woman of that palace to go. Neither did he order alcohol, nor did he go to the tavern. After returning after winning the war, everyone is startled because their way of talking has also changed. Winsonland is astonished because it has seen the prince of the past who was spoiled and maggoty."
Jane Dover sighed and lowered her head thoughtfully.
"He has changed a lot! Really?" It was the biggest question for all.
Sinja saw her sad face and sighed helplessly.
"Princess, let me show you the kitchen of the palace."
Jane Dover looked at her and smiled lustrously. She and Sinja headed towards the kitchen of the palace while talking to each other. The kitchen was spread in a large open space in the rear part of the palace, where food was prepared for thousands of people every day, but one corner was so special where the royal family's food was cooked and that place was very clean and organized. Jane Dover had not even imagined such a vast kitchen. Jane Dover carefully looked at everything there and liked this kitchen very much. The kitchen was far away from her room and her room was at the top of the palace and the kitchen was at the bottom of the palace. She got tired of walking and came back to her room, but even after coming back to the room, her mind could not find peace. It was late today but he still hasn't come back. She did not know where he had gone and when he would come back but her heart was continuously seeking his presence.
"Princess, please have dinner."
Sinja looked at her weak back and said after a while.
"Did he return?" Jane Dover turned back and looked at Sinja with hope.
"No Princess. When he arrives, his horse pounds the walls of the palace. If he had come, you would have known. Jaane Dover sighed sadly and lowered her head.
"How long will you wait for him? You must eat."
"I have never eaten with him after marriage. I will wait today." Her voice was thinner and low.
"Princess, he is Prince and the ruler of Winsonland. He has a lot to do. Will you be hungry if he doesn't come tonight?"
Jane Dover looked at her pityfully then soughed sadly.
"Sinja, has this ever happened to you?" Jane Dover turned back and looked at the moon who was sad, too.
"How, princess?"
"There is no hunger. There is no sleep. Only wait is there... But this wait is also seem good even if it hurts."
Sinja widened her mouth and blinked her eyes while looking at her thin back in a daze.
"Princess, I will call the physician."
"Sinja… I am not fine. But I don't need a physician."
"Why are you talking like a poet today?" Sinja stepped ahead and blinked her eyes in surprise.
Jane Dover's pale face was telling her that she was seriously lost somewhere. For a while, she remembered what Jane Dover had said and then he widened her eyes and looked at her back.
"Princess, are you suffering from insomnia?"
Jane Dover sighed and turned back then looked at Sinja with a skinny smile.
"I do not know what disease I have suffered but I have come to understand that you cannot understand."
Sinja started scratching her head in confusion and Jane Dover approached her slowly.
"You are a dear person."
Sinja smiled shyly.
"Princess, you..."
Jane Dover smiled at her dazzlingly.
"Won't you eat?"
"You should go and have your dinner. I will wait for him." She was still firm on her decision. Sinja sighed helplessly because she was hungry and she wanted to eat but as long as Jane Dover does not eat, Sinja will not feel like eating.
"Sinja, you should eat, okay?"
"Okay." Sinja nodded sadly then left the bedroom with a broken heart. Jane Dover went to the balcony and beamed while looking at the moon.
"Do you know? His face is much brighter than you." She said with a gentle smile.
The night was not in its senses, but it was retaining its speed by holding the hand of the moon. Both the night and the moon knew that Jane Dover was sleeping hungry on her huge bed, and after seeing her, both of them became worried, not knowing when her prince would come and when he would achieve her desire to eat together?
"Prince."
"That insignificant maidservant dared to stop the elegant prince who was moving with the speed of the wind towards his bedroom."
"Forgive me." Sinja lowered her head and Darius Simard looked at her with his serious gaze.
Sinja did not dare to look at him as she kept lowering her head in fear.
"What's wrong? What is the reason you are standing out of the bedroom?" He asked politely and Sinja held her palms tightly while quavering.
"The princess has fallen asleep while waiting for you. I have tried a lot but she wanted to eat with you."
Darius Simard looked at the closed door of his bedroom with his dark eyes and Sinja was fluttering in front of him as he would punish her for not feeding the princess.
"Send dinner." He said in his low voice and went straight into the bedroom. Sinja turned back and looked at the closed door of the bedroom in surprise. He had become polite and gracious.
