9. Talk

The moon and the night grinned as soon as he entered the bedroom, he saw the princess was napping soundly on the bed. He sighed deeply and went straight to the bed. He sat at the edge of the bed and kept looking at her unformed face for a while with affection in his deep eyes. What had ensued to her?

Darius Simard closed his eyes and clenched his fists and there… The past began to reminisce in his mind. Why she was screaming in her sleep and what she had seen in the nightmare. What she had done during the day and what she was thinking. When he opened his red eyes, he looked at the pale woman seriously who had already woken up from her fragile sleep. She quickly smiled when they looked at each other but then her smile withered away and she kept looking at his red eyes worryingly.

"Your eyes…"

Darius Simard smiled barely and placed his warm palm on her cheek.

"You are hungry."

Jane Dover got up and leaned back on the bed worryingly.

"You are here!"

"This is my bedroom. Shouldn't I come here?"

"I didn't mean that." She lowered her eyes as he was a straight speaker.

Darius Simard stood up from the bed while taking off his long coat and Jane Dover dared to look at his powerful back. She wanted to ask him what the reason was behind his late return. Was everything going well or not? But her courage died after thinking that he was the representative of Winsonland and she should not ask such questions to him.

"You can ask anything." He hang the coat on the stand and started unbuttoning his robe with his back towards her.

"Huh?" She got dismayed and kept staring at his back.

"What?"

"The questions you are suppressing inside you."

"I don't have anything to ask." She smiled awkwardly and lowered her head with panic.

Darius Simard took off his robe and his wide and strong torso appeared amazingly. He turned back and walked to the bed. He looked at Jane Dover with a slight smile and sat at the edge of the bed near her.

"Didn't I tell you? You have rights." When she heard his desirable voice, she raised her head and looked at him with fear but when she saw his surprising torso, her face turned red quickly and her throat became dry.

"What are you thinking?" He asked in his low and seductive voice as if he deliberately her exposing his amazing body.

She felt hot suddenly and lowered her head quickly feeling embarrassing in front of him. His seductive eyes were snatching away her heart.

"Prince, the dinner is ready."

"Get in."

Sinja entered the bedroom and the maid followed her with the trolley. The bedroom smelled of scrumptious food and Sinja served the dishes on the table. The king-size bed was covered with the curtains and Jane Dover was looking at Sinja with surprise.

"Prince."

"Leave."

Sinja did not raise her head and she left the bedroom along with the maid. Darius Simard looked at Jane Dover with a lean smile.

"Let's go."

Jane Dover looked at his palm he had stretched to hold her palm, she let him hold her palm and they went to the table. They sat beside each other and Jane Dover looked at the delicious food with a sigh. At last her wait has paid off. They were going to eat together.

"What are you thinking?" He looked at her deeply and she swallowed saliva in panic as his torso was mishandling her mind.

"Have you taken dinner?" She asked in a reverie.

"I want to eat with you." He threw a mild smile and filled the spoon and stretched it towards her.

"Please." This word was albicans and blunt. She opened her mouth slowly and he fed her. She could not face him and lowered her eyes quickly.

"Didn't you want me to do this?"

Jane Dover's mouth was full and her chest was solemn with chagrin. How did he know everything she wanted to do with him? She just nodded her head like a culprit and sat over there silently. They both had enjoyed the candlelight dinner and Jane Dover was feeling extremely fine.

From that giant balcony, the moon, the night and the clouds were peeping inside. How romantic the atmosphere was inside the bedroom but they were panicked when they would finally convey their feelings for each other.

Jane Dover was standing on the balcony while lowering her head and Darius Simard was looking at her back while leaning on the door of the balcony with a suspicious smile on his pink lips. For a long time, they hadn't talked to each other after dinner, even if the night was higher and dark, they did not feel like sleeping. A whitish-grey smoke rose from behind the palace and mixed in the cold air, the same smoke was rising in the heart of both of them right now. Neither were they saying anything to each other, and this silence between them was deeper than the depth of this night.

Darius Simard stepped ahead slowly and held her shoulders gently from behind and this temperate touch shivered her.

"The night…is exemplary." He spoke in his low and deep voice. Jane Dover raised her head and looked at the dark sky. Darius Simard leaned and placed his left cheek on her right cheek and glanced at the sky.

"I didn't know the difference between darkness and night." Jane Dover spoke in her thin and endearing voice.

"I could never understand day and night in that dungeon. There was neither land nor sky. There was only my loneliness with me." She sighed enormously and Darius Simard did not interrupt her. He knew that the dungeon she was living, it had only a small window where she used to stand day and night with tears in her eyes while waiting for the prince of her dreams who would come and take her away with him. Darius Simard had seen her each day and night. He was well determined with that pity face and hopeful eyes that had languished in the hope of a new change.

"After marrying you, I saw the world, saw the people, saw the land and the sky, saw day and night... Thank you, Darius." She sighed and spoke in her low and deep voice. He wrapped his arms around her waist and clasped her from behind. His upper body was clothless and it made her shudder for a moment when it touched her weak back. She felt like she had hope. He placed his chin on her shoulder and held her palms near her stomach tighter.

"You deserve this." His deep voice was fluttering her heart.

"You were telling the truth that I have many to talk to you. And it was also true that today I wanted to eat with you because we had never eaten together. I don't know why will it make me happy but I want to be happy. And I don't want to miss a single reason to be happy."

"I am with you." He held her tighter and spoke in his heavy voice.

Jane Dover let the edge of that sorrow get down on her heart, due to which she was forced to leave the sight of beauty. She didn't want to go back to her cruel stepfather, she didn't want to go back to that dungeon, and she didn't want to take away the beauty of the world from her... How could she take away from her the only person who had given her hope to live? Had fed her, had made her sleep in his arms and had settled her in his eyes...

When the drop of tears fell on his fists near her stomach, he opened his eyes and realise she was sad. He left her and stepped back as he did not know whether she liked his conduct or not. As soon as he left her, she turned back to leave and at the correct moment, he held her wrist tightly. Jane Dover stopped and panted while closing her eyes in sorrow. She knew this was not the correct time for tears and she did not have answers to his questions.

"Why are you leaving?"

"Please let me go." Her voice was shaking and rough.

"Talk to me." He was profound.

"Please…" She lowered her head in defencelessness.

Darius Simard came closer to her and held her small face in his warm palms then looked straight into her blubbering eyes.

"You are hurting me with your tears." His voice was deep and Jane Dover bit her jerky lips.

"You are the most beautiful in this world and you deserve to be happy because you are here, with me. You can't let me down like this. Speak. Talk to me."

"I…"

"Don't stop. Talk."

"Forgive me, Prince."

Jane Dover turned back and left the balcony while wiping her tears. Darius Simard looked at her back in panic and she went straight to the bed and laid down. He turned back and looked at the sky for a long time.
