Chapter 92

I couldn't speak when our eyes met. He was above me and I could tell what he wanted. I could feel it. I was the same.

"This is just a dream" I repeated to myself, staring at him. My mind trying to convince my body that it wasn't real so the problems of the real world didn't matter.

"It's not just a dream" he smiled softly, but he didn't say anything further as he kissed me. Softly, his hand caressed my face slowly, outlining my brows until he deepened the kiss. Withheld desires unleashed as his hand slipped under me and pulled me towards him. His face buried in my neck as he began sucking on the skin.

"Jules…" I moaned, as he hands began to play with my breasts. His fingers pressed teasingly into my nipples and I flushed when he began to play with them.

Why did it feel so?-

My nightdress had lifted so high it was barely necessary and I spread my legs to let him in closer. I wanted to melt into him.

The feeling of the hardness between his legs pressing against me made sparks cover my vision. I wasn't sure why but I felt a strange heat travel up my body. He grunted, letting out a strained breath. His face flushed as he looked at me with barely concentrated eyes.

"Can I touch you between your legs?" He asked, his words breathless as he panted them out. I stared at him unsure of why he asked and nodded slowly. His face brightened up with a grin as he kissed me once again.

"Ok-Okay" I replied with a gulp.

His hand dropped down my stomach, gliding across the skin before it began to touch my thighs.

"It's so soft here" he squeezed them, pulling on the skin as he dug into it. He suddenly pushed my legs against my chest exposing my lower half. I shrieked, reaching down and covering the strange skin between my legs.

"What- what are you doing?" I asked, my eyes were wide with both terror and confusion.

He stared at me face both amused and slightly concerned.

"I can't tell if you really don't know or you're simply playing coy?" He teased as he lowered his head towards the area. Now I was even more disgruntled.

"Why would I be coy about this? I don't- I don't" he removed my hand and pressed his tongue on the skin.

It was hard to describe what happened at that moment. I had been confused one minute and the next my body was trembling and my voice was releasing a strange moaning that I hadn't heard before.

The way his tongue felt against me was indescribable, wetness gliding across and licking my sensitive spots and then the sucking on one particular spot had me gasping.

The shock of it was so much that when I opened my mouth to ask him to stop I had woken up. I had to make sure that was my ceiling above me and not another dream before I let out a shuddering breath and pulled my blanket around me.

Was that just a dream?

How could a dream be so… so real?

I touched between my thighs tentatively, only to pull back at the wetness.

I couldn't go back to sleep after that. I had gotten ready and requested breakfast instead.

I had things to worry about.

My face still flushed and I slapped my cheeks to snap out of this strange mood.

I should meet Lady Francesca. I need to know how it is on the other end of this fated stuff.

But as I waited for my breakfast I recalled the letter I didn't get a chance to send back to Connor. The one that told him the better-late-than-never truth.

I had only got half-way through when a knock signalling that my breakfast has arrived interrupted me. A footman laid out the breakfast with utter due diligence before bowing deeply.

"Thank you for the food!" I said gratefully catching him by surprise. He was young, clearly just in his early teens.

"Thank you, my lady" he replied, face reddening.

"What's your name?" I had buttered my toast as I asked.

"F-Felix, my lady. I haven't offended you, have I?" He was trembling. It was unusual for the people he served to acknowledge him I suppose, but I wasn't a royal or a noble so I didn't care for status.

"Of course not, don't be silly. I was just wondering if you know where our guests from the empire are staying?"

"The guests? They should be on the second floor. As for where exactly…"-

"That's more than enough help actually. I'll head down there and ask for directions, but you saved me from having to walk up and down those flights of stairs" I laughed and he relaxed slightly. "Well, I'll let you go now. I've probably been keeping you".

He bowed once again, gratefully, and left.

The second floor…

I finished up my letter and handed it to a footman to be mailed. Before I could go any further I found myself staring at a piece of paper with a list of thing underlined.

Alexander Willow.

Alexei Grandor

Lady Francesca

I stared at the hard. The first name to be specific. I still wasn't sure if Alexander truly travelled from the future or it was someone impersonating him. The question was why. If it is him then are we going to be enemies?

That ring is much too unique to him to be forged.

It had to be him, right?

Amidst my thinking I did not once allow a stray thought to dwell on the dream I had.
