Chapter Forty Eight

Okay, Jacel really feels very foreign in this place. Everyone seemed to know her father, but she didn't have the slightest interest in listening to what they were talking about. After her dad introduced her to several people, she chose to avoid looking for snacks.

Sara still accompanies her dad, even though her stepmother doesn't look very comfortable. But as a wife, Sara must endure. She sighed and took a drink. But there was someone holding her arm. She suddenly looked at the tall man watching her probingly.

"How old are you?" the man asked.

Jacel blinked a few times. "Eighteen years old."

The man smiled. "You're not of legal age to drink champagne, kid. Just get some juice. Unless your parents don't mind."

She then noticed the glasses with the clear liquid like crystal. Then she withdrew her hand and bowed to the man who had warned her. The man smiled again and patted her head a few times before leaving.
