Abe's curly brown hair caught the waning rays of sunlight still brave enough to pierce through the storm drain above.
"Where am I?" Abe asked. He pulled away from Sol, leaving a cold chasm between the two of them. Sol found himself completely dumbstruck, unable to move his lips since Abe's had been pressed against his.
"You're in the sewer. Apparently you'll have to get used to that with us," Peppi replied with a
hand to steady him. "What's the last thing you remember?"
"I ... don't know. I don't think I remember anything," Abe stuttered.
"Uhh. Sol?" Peppi's exasperation carried her voice down the sewer tubes.
"Yeah," he said, finally looking Abe in the eyes.
"Sorry, I don't know why I did that. You just... I don't know why. But, I know you don't I? I feel
like we've met," Abe said sheepishly.
"I, uhh, think you have amnesia. I was told it was a side effect of the greater exorcism I performed on you," Sol explained carefully.
