Chapter 13: Another Dance

Distant, mournful howling stirred Nora from unconsciousness. It sounded like a serenade, the ballad of a lonely soul reaching out to his beloved.

Nora recognized it as what Artem must have sounded like to the Moon Goddess. The wolves must have been in the middle of their full moon ritual.

"I really need to get out of here." Nora began to gather her things. Something rustled beyond the canopy of the wisteria flowers, stopping her cold. 'Sh*t,' she thought. 'Something out here is going to kill me.' She started gathering her things again, when someone came through the leaves.

"Are you crazy?" he whispered in an angry hiss. "What are you doing out here?"

Nora was stunned. Dante had somehow found her. His hair caught the breeze and flowed like a river. The moonlight bounced off his exposed skin. Even at night his skin looked sun kissed, and his eyes seemed to glow in the darkness. He rushed up to her, cradling her face with his hands.
