Chapter 14: Intentions

"It's funny," Nora said, tracing small circles onto Dante's chest. They were snuggled up on the forest floor, shielded by the branches of the wisteria tree. The woods had quieted down some time ago. Dawn was almost upon them.

"What is?" Dante's sleepy voice answered.

"I had always pictured my first time would be somewhere like a hotel room. With candles and flower petals."

"Hmm," Dante chuckled. "Well, we're surrounded by wisteria. There are your flower petals. And we had the light of the full moon. No candles could ever compare."

"You're right. Not even my wildest dreams could compare to this," Nora sighed, resting her chest on his chest. She reveled in the scent of him. He smelled of sandalwood, bergamot, and musk. It was so much stronger to her now.

"You dream about me?" she could hear the smile in his voice.

"Yeah. A lot. The dreams are only going to get worse now."
