BRYANT
"Our team went over everything fresh today and still couldn't find anything. No one knows where they came from," Zarron reported from the other side of my desk.
I let out a low growl. How could we not know anything? We had a dozen dead bodies and testimony from every person in the club.
Zarron sighed and shrugged. "They covered their tracks well. I imagine whoever sent them knew they wouldn't survive."
"Then why send them at all?" I grumbled.
"Testing our weaknesses. Trying to take out some of the weaker pack members. Sorting out who our strongest and weakest fighters were. I don't know for sure, but I think this is tied to the scents we've been catching around the property," Zarron said.
"You think someone is checking us out to attack?" I leaned back in my chair and crossed my arms over my chest.
