BRYANT
I sat in my office staring down at the paperwork on the desk before me and rolled a strawberry candy around in my mouth. This day sucked. I hadn’t seen Tallia all day, and my wolf wouldn’t stop pacing because of it. It was putting me on edge.
Tallia was quickly becoming an addiction. The more time I spent with her, the more I wanted.
A knock on the door echoed through the office, and I looked up with a sigh as Zarron pushed inside.
“What’s up?” I asked as I focused back on my paperwork and tried to force my eyes to read it.
“The whole pack is talking about the mixer the Luna Queen is setting up,” he said, and took a seat in the chair on the other side of my desk.
“Mixer?”
“The one for non-mated shifters in the region.”
“Ah.” I nodded. “Is it coming along?”
Zarron shrugged. “I don’t know anything about it except that it’s all anyone can talk about.”
My lips strained to stretch into a smile, but I held them back. “Will you participate?”
