Chapter 19: The Spark

I woke up next to Grey’s warm body and opened my eyes to find him watching me.

“Good morning,” he said with a smile.

“How long have you been awake?” I asked.

“Just a little while,” he said and kissed my temple.

“Why were you watching me sleep?” I asked, enjoying the way his lips were leaving a trail of kisses over my ear and down my neck.

“You snore,” he said and pulled the top of my nightgown aside to plant kisses on my shoulder.

“I don’t snore,” I objected, but I sighed with pleasure when his mouth made its way over my chest to the tops of my breasts.

My hands slowly ran across his shoulders and stopped in his hair.

Thick and smooth, his human hair was even softer than his wolf form’s coat. It was a true black without a trace of blue and just wavy enough to look as if it couldn’t be completely tamed.

I groaned when somebody knocked on the door.

Grey jumped out of bed. He had slept in his jeans, so he threw the door open and glared at the person in the hall.
