The celebration was over. Together, Grey and I began to make our way inside the house.
“Why did Finn escort Nikki from the grounds?” Grey asked. “I thought you two liked each other now.”
“Oh, she made a rude comment about my dress,” I replied, hiding my smile. I’d fill Grey in on my conversation with Nikki when we were alone.
“I wish I could take you to a nice hotel, with a hot tub and a nice big bed,” Grey said as he held the patio door open for me.
“I don’t care where we are as long as I’m with you,” I told him.
“Okay.” He grinned. “Let’s go back to my father’s cabin. The bathroom is anywhere outside, but the cabin has a fireplace.”
I rolled my eyes. “Nope. My bedroom will do just fine for our wedding night.”
“I’ve got a better idea,” Lily said from the kitchen. “Your aunt, uncle, Ash, Dierk, Finn, and I have been working on another surprise.” Lily crooked a finger at us and started for the staircase.
We followed her upstairs to the door next to my bedroom.
