Chapter 49: Layla’s Revenge

Isla shimmered into sight in front of me as everyone completely froze, including Grey.

“Help him, please,” I said as I knelt next to Finn. “He’s a good and kind soul.”

Isla nodded and knelt next to me. Her hand moved to hover over Finn’s torn throat. “Give me your hand and think of your friend,” Isla said and extended her other hand to me.

I grasped her hand and remembered the time Finn took me for my first milkshake. I gasped when I felt a warm glow building in my heart. It passed down my arm to Isla, through her, and to her hand that she held over Finn.

Within seconds, his wound healed perfectly. There was no scar, and his blood disappeared from where he lay.

Isla stood. “He’ll be fine now. I needed your help to trigger my healing power because I care so little for wolves. But our success means you can heal others too. Just do as I did and think caring thoughts about them and how much you want to help them.”
