Chapter 34: Brutal Truth

DEMING WOODS, WA – JAMES’ OFFICE

RAY’S POV

“After our investigations and the witness report of the recent incident, we have come to the conclusion that there is high evidence of the Lunar Howls collaborating with the Vagabonds.” My father says to his board members, whose faces turn grave at the news.

“Miss Brown had advised me in private that both of the rogues wore clothes representing the Lunar Howls’ colors. Meaning that they very well may have blended in with the crowd, gaining information. There’s also a high possibility they were at the luncheon as well.” He folds his hands onto the table.

“I just can’t wrap my head around it.” Conrad speaks up. “Their scents are distinct, so how come we couldn’t pick them up?”

“Well, if they’re dressed head to toe in clothes from the Lunar Howls, that may be enough to mask their scent.” Everett mentions.

“So clothes that haven’t been washed in weeks.” Conrad sneers at the thought.
