Treating Zaros

Now, seeing Eudora getting angry at her reminded her of the days when she saw her mother in the courtroom acting like a queen. That's a goosebump situation for her. She never dared to look at her mother the same way she did. And that's also the situation that made her scared of her mother.

As she gazed at Eudora, who has her eyes blaring in pure vampire color, made her flinch. She stood silent and calm.

"I apologize for my behavior," Lenora said lowering her head in shame. She couldn't rebuke her mother. What she said was true. Eudora came to her wing and tried every method to save her. But her silence made Eudora lose for the first time in her life. That's a stain. Which Eudora couldn't wash off. She got that because of Lenora. Lenora took anger on the wrong person. She should blame her brother not her mother.

Her mother deserved an apology more than anyone. She couldn't deny the fact that she accused her wrongly.

"At least, you know you are wrong," Eudora said.

"I do. And I apologize for that," Lenora said again.

"Learn to use your mouth and brain wisely. Remember to open your brain before your mouth," Eudora said.

Lenora just nodded and stood aside. Just then two guards came in with Aara.

"Help the King to carry him to his chambers," Lenora said.

The guards carried Zaros on their shoulders to his chambers followed by Eudora and Kylie.

Lenora couldn't stand in the back garden anymore. She entered her chambers to take a quick nap before her lunch.

Many things happened after breakfast. She needs to digest them.

After Lenora slept, Celine asked Kylie to go back and have her lunch while she watched over Lenora. After all, as maids, they won't get much time to have food. So, they would have food in turns one after another without offending their master.

After Kylie left, Celine made sure that nobody was around. Looking around for any creature's existence she went back to the place where she buried the ring. Digging the hole again, she took back the ring. Tucking inside her gown carefully, she filled the hole again without anyone finding it out.

As if she did nothing, she walked back to Lenora's chambers after washing her hands. Nobody noticed her actions. After all, everyone was worried about the fainted Vampire king. Yesterday, it's Vampire Queen who fainted and today the Vampire King fainted.

It's a worthy thing to gossip about.

After some time...

Even doctors couldn't save Zaros. He was still lying unconsciously. His total inner core was messed up because of the ring. The ring was not spelled properly. If it was done in the right way... this wouldn't have happened. The one who can cure his current state was... Elphaba Glory. The high priestess. Even if she can't cure him... then there was no hope for him to live.

It means... the pact would turn void. The war would seize between two races.

Everyone was in dilemma at the very moment. No one knows how to solve this.

Asking for help from the High Priestess was equal to selling themselves to her. That's when Serene the Queen of Werewolf Race decided to step in.

She went to the witch tower only to be rejected by the witch. Serene put her pride aside and begged her all over again. That's when the witch gave an offer to Serene. That was... Lenora has to do something for her which she asks. Only then she would say Zaros.

Serene just nodded and left. She wondered if Lenora would accept or not. She knew what her daughter-in-law went through partially. In fact, she would be the last person who would help these two races. One way or other these two races made her suffer for the faults she didn't commit.

With many complicated thoughts swirling in her head, she went to Lenora's chambers. When she exited Lenora's chambers she was surprised. She never thought Lenora would agree with her. Lenora sent her will in helping them... after nearly three to four hours.

Lenora went to the witch's tower and agreed to her demands to get Zaros treated. When she was done, Elphaba came with her in her magical chariot with no horses.

Meanwhile…

Elphaba watched Zaros lying unconsciously. She wanted to slap this man but held it back. How could he be so cruel to his sister and her baby?

"The ring was cast by a spell by a witch," Elphaba replied.

"The thief is in the kingdom. Catch them. The faster the better," Elphaba said.

"Tell others," Elphaba said.

Lenora ran out of the chambers and stood in front of Maximus.

"Ophelia is running away. Catch her," Lenora said breathlessly to him stirring the commotion in the crowd all over again.

Maximus squinted his eyes at her words. He called the guards and mindlinked with every werewolf in the kingdom. As a king, he has the power to mind-link with everyone but it takes lots of Mana to do that. Yet he did that. Anyone who sees her shall catch her and bring her to the palace, that's the order. Every Werewolf started looking for Ophelia based on her descriptions given to them. Already the guards spread out her pictures in most of the public places in the kingdom.

Everyone was searching for her.

On the other hand…

Ophelia was pacing back and forth as she tried to run away. The palace was not a place for her to hide. She was hiding in the forest where the Werewolves would hunt during the full moon day. Apart from the full moon days, no one shall enter these forests.

Since it was not a full moon day, she ran here to hide. Because wherever she goes everyone was talking about her. She doesn't want to be asked or searched by others. She needs a safe place to hide.

Ophelia plotted against the Vampire king. Messing with him is equal to asking for death. Not to mention now there was Werewolf King. And due to her plot, Maximus's sister was the one who got heavily burnt.
