Meanwhile, Eudora was holding Zaros. He fainted due to sudden tribulations in his body caused by the ring. Now she understood the changes in her son. No wonder… he turned into a different person every passing day. Now it made sense to her. Her son was not her son with that stupid ring in his hand.
She made him lie on the bench.
"Lenora, show that ring to me," Eudora asked as she walked towards them.
"Mom, we need to bury this in the ground. If not, it will affect him again," Lenora said.
"I just want to take a look at it," Eudora said.
Celine gave the ring to Eudora.
"Wait… I saw a similar one with King Azazel Laroch!" Eudora exclaimed.
Lenora was left agape with the newfound information. Before she could think further, Celine urged her to give the ring.
"My Lady, we need to bury it soon," Celine urged.
"This might be temporarily not functioning. But we have to make sure… it doesn't function permanently and doesn't affect my lord. After all, this looked like the reason for all the misfortunes in the palace. Getting rid shall be our priority," Celine elaborated when Eudora threw her a sharp look.
Nodding at her, she gave it back. Immediately, Celine went to bring some water. She poured the water so that the soil will get loosened up. After it is loosened, she took a shovel and dug a hole. Even Aara and Kylie came to help Celine. After nearly ten minutes they successfully buried the ring.
"Celine, and you both, shall be witnesses for the things that happened now in front of the king," Eudora asked.
"We follow our lady's words," Aara and Kylie said together even before Celine opened her mouth.
They were strictly warned by their king to not take anybody's order other than their lady.
"Lenora, tell them," Eudora said feeling frustrated at their words.
"Queen Mother, I will take care of this. Even if we have a rift. He is my husband after all. I know how to let him know things and handle them. Don't worry.
"Now, take your King back to his chambers. He shall be examined by a doctor," Lenora said.
Eudora wanted to shout at her but she knew it was of no use. And indeed, getting Maximus aware of this thing through Lenora would be more effective than she saying it.
"Let them help me in carrying him," she said motioning towards her maids.
"Aara, call two guards to carry the Vampire King," Lenora said without backing down by clearly stating that her maids would only serve her nobody else even if it's a king.
Aara and Kylie were surprised at their Lady's words. Nevertheless, they felt happy and bowed to her before leaving the place. Nobody takes care of their servants the way their lady did.
"Aren't you afraid of getting accused? What if people say that you did something to him?" Eudora asked with a raised brow as she looked at leaving Aara.
"I am already carrying the punishment for someone else's deeds. And this small thing is nothing to me. And even If I get accused, I will turn this into a habit," Lenora said with a smile that irked Eudora.
"What do you mean?" Eudora asked. She knew her daughter suffered injustice but Lenora shouldn't blame her.
"I took the blame for my sister's murder even when I am not responsible for it. I am stuck in this place when I am fallen from my grace. See… if my husband's sister is suffering, I am the one who is facing consequences. And this thing… doesn't change things. The worst is… I will suffer more or be killed. I don't care about me being alive anymore," Lenora said.
"Say those things to your brother. Not to me. Remember the days, I waited in front of your doorstep asking you to say a single word 'NO'. I believed and trusted you. I believed you would never do that. But you just sent me away and turned me down. You wept as you deserved it. A mistake happens from two sides. You can't blame me for what you have done.
"I, Eudora Clamantine Dee, put all my pride and self-respect under my foot and begged you just to get a single word out of your mouth. But what did you do? You just wept! You only said one word that you deserved this for not being able to save your sister.
"If you wanna take responsibility, take it completely. If don't want to, find the truth and show it to the world. I offered you help, but you didn't take it. You can't accuse me this way, little girl," Eudora said firmly. Her eyes blared between silver and red as she looked at Lenora.
Lenora gulped down her saliva and took a step back. Has she ever said when her mother gets angry nobody can go against her? If she didn't, remember it now.
Eudora Clamantine Dee, a twelve hundred-year-old Noble Vampire descendant, ruled the Vampire for eleven hundred years for nothing. She did many mistakes, but she corrected them, and she made everyone bow their heads to her as she stomped on the men's rule.
Patience is her weapon.
Her word is a verdict.
Her presence is a threat.
Her expression can bring disasters inside people.
Her anger can burn the world.
That's the kind of woman Eudora was and is. And she will be that way too. For Zaros, getting the complete rule from his mother's hands will be a very tough task. Those old Vampire geezers will eat him alive by pointing at his mistakes and stuff.
In front of them, even Eudora couldn't stay strong. She almost lost the battle and power from her hands because of these old geezers.
Now, seeing Eudora getting angry at her reminded her of the days when she saw her mother in the courtroom acting like a queen. That's a goosebump situation for her. She never dared to look at her mother the same way she did. And that's also the situation that made her scared of her mother.
