After playing around with his newly made weapon, Rellandus wills his stone spike to shoot off to some random direction, and with his divine sense, tracks it.
Not long after, the stone spike returns to him. Half of its entirety is not longer grey, but is tainted with blood, and impaled with it, is a huge, brown furred, four-legged, tusked beast a hundred fifty times the size of a mortal human.
He lets his spike and the beast with it float above him for a few more seconds until the beast finally stops struggling, and is now hanging lifelessly on the spike. He then crumbles the stone spike, making the huge beast fall to the ground with a loud thud and an explosion of dust.
The stone pieces that once comprised the spike also fall to the ground, next to the beast carcass.
*Haaa…* Rellandus takes a deep breath to recover.
Using his very, very limited divine sense to manipulate spiritual energy has been taxing, especially after carrying the weight of the beast and his stone spike which is sums up to the weight of two hundred men.
While he found the activity difficult, he realizes that he will become more efficient after more practice.
Recovering shortly, he manipulates his stone spike and transforms some of the material to two tools; a shovel, and a knife.
With the shovel, he manipulates it to dig a ditch around the beast, and dig a huge hole just beside it.
After that, he uses the knife to start taking apart the beast.
...
Sometime later, he now has his hunted game fully dressed and is roasting it in front of him over a combination of bonfire and fire made out of Basic Spiritual Energy.
While waiting for his first meal in this domain to be cooked, he manipulates spiritual energy once again.
After working his spiritual energy control for the past two hours, and his divine sense recovering a bit more, he now feels he can work on finer tasks.
Task like shaving the beast's fur, turning those fur to yarn, and stitching those yarn to make his clothes.
After all, his armor and drapes did not survive his travel and must have turned to dust.
While there is no other intelligent life around to see him naked, he does not like the feeling of his bare skin exposed.
He does not care much about his armors, but his treasures and tools he stored in his inner world are now gone, and have all turned to useless dust, floating around his inner world.
He understands that Vroalagg did not care about his treasures and instead focused used God King Naena's energy to exclusively protect his live and cultivation, but those treasures and tools accompanied him all his life and are full of memories so their destruction makes his heart weary.
There is nothing else he can do but move on.
"Not bad…" Rellandus nods in satisfaction after putting on his freshly knitted tunic and pants that hug his figure snugly.
He also looks at himself through his divine sense and sees that he looks good in his new clothes.
Satisfied, he looks to the side to see the other task he is simultaneously working on; Leather. Leather which he made out of the beast's skin and is now ready as a material to use.
He smiles as he proceeds to continue his work.
While he is not crafting using his own hands, he misses working with low-level materials like these and processing them to their highest potential possible using only his skills in craftsmanship.
Some more time passes and he is now done making leather boots, soled using the beast's hooves, and fits perfectly on his feet.
Now fully clothed, and his roasted meal about to be ready for him to feast on, he silently thanks the beast he hunted for its contributions to his new journey. The only consolation he can offer it is that he used as much of its body parts as he could with minimal waste.
While a being of his level and power would not bother respecting a low mortal creature, he is not like his peers. He chooses to respect the sacrifices of those weaker than him for his benefit. He always have thought that powerful beings like him would have never achieved greatness without the weak.
He moves on to pay respect to his master with a silent invitation for a meal, with a small hope that Vroalagg is nearby to hear it. He then proceeds to pay respect once again to Mecento and Carain who sacrificed their lives to make him an Exalted Celestial, and sends them a silent invitation for a meal, with a small hope that even though they are dead, a part of them still remains with him to hear his invitation.
Done paying his respects, he slices off a slab of roasted meat with the large hunting knife he made out of the beast's tusk, starting his feast
…
The blue sky has now turned orange, and Rellandus is now staring at the sky in a daze and satisfaction.
He just finished his feast and all that remained of his culinary work, is the beast's bones.
He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath.
*VOOOMMM*
Soon, a loud humming sound starts reverberating, its source coming from his stomach.
Fast digestion, a basic bodily skill that can be used by any cultivators including the weakest ones for many purposes mainly for sustenance, and for self-healing.
He had not used the skill for a long time. After all, any immortal cultivator like him no longer eat food for survival, and absorbing different energies is more than enough substitution for eating. Eating has instead become a leisure activity for him, to taste all sorts of delicious and rare dishes.
He never expected to rely on the skill again after a long time. Because the energy type of the place is too low, he can only resort to more physical forms of it, like food.
*HHHAAAA*
After a long while, Rellandus lets out a near roar-like exhalation. Mixed with the air he breathed out are the impurities that were inherent in the type of food he just had; impurities in the form of black smoke.
He continues the activity until no impurities are left in his body.
He cannot help but smile, feeling a bit of strength has now come back to his body.
Enough strength for him to stand up and move around without difficulty.
He waves his hand around and soil starts moving around him.
Unlike before when he was only using his divine sense and will to manipulate spiritual energy, his manipulation this time is much smoother with the assistance of his body.
He looks at the place he landed where his body made a man-shaped hole and manipulates the soil around it to fill it.
After that, he proceeds to bury the embers of burning wood he used to cook and the other scraps from his crafting, with a man's height's thickness of soil.
Then, he crumbles the stone chair he used to stay seated, and the other stone tools, back into stone dust before storing them in his inner world for later use.
In case a hostile intelligent life, or a group of them is around that might threaten his safety, he does not want it following his traces.
With the huge ivory hunting knife on hand, he proceeds to climb out of the crater. His body now having half the strength of the beast he ate; he manages to exit the crater quite easily after only a few hops.
Feeling fresh and energized, he proceeds to explore the place, starting by wading through the thick bushes and plant life.
"…Hm?…" After reaching a hundred steps from his landing site, he notices with his divine sense that many vertebrate creatures seem to be avoiding him.
He frowns at the observation. Low level creatures like these should not be able to feel his power especially when he is currently injured and his energy reserves almost empty.
Suddenly, he feels the ground vibrate and he looks towards a certain direction which is the source of the vibration is coming from.
With his divine sense, he can see that a snake creature is currently slithering quickly towards his direction without regard for the smaller lives on its wake.
A few breaths later, a snake, the length of twenty mortal men and having the diameter of a mortal man's torso, stops just a few steps in front of him. The snake, with the front half of its being, assumes a posture perpendicular to the ground and *HISSSSS* snarls at Rellandus with an intimidating hiss.
The next moment however, the snake freezes in its place.
Rellandus smirks, seeing that the snake has a bit of intelligence in it, evidenced by the confusion it is showing through its gaze.
He further realizes that the snake must have expected not him, but the beast he hunted.
He figures that the snake and the beast he hunted knew each other so, his clothes being made out of parts of that beast, must have caused this snake's confusion.
With his divine sense, `Was the beast I hunted your friend? Or your foe?` he conveys his thoughts to the giant snake.
HIssss…
The snake snarls in response, and its intention `Foe!` read by Rellandus's divine sense.
Rellandus nods as he quickly ponders.
He figures that the smaller animals that were avoiding him earlier must have smelt the predatory aura of the beast he hunted on his clothes, resulting to him being mistaken for it.
*whoosh* The giant snake interrupts Rellandus's thoughs with a whip of its tail to Rellandus's direction.
Rellandus simply jumps over the tail and while on air, decides to invade the beast's mind to learn about what it knows.
The next moment however, *screech* the snake screeches in pain and it wriggles around in the ground. A few breaths later, the snake finally stops struggling and is now lying limply on the ground, lifeless.
"What?..." Rellandus frowns as he scans the snake to find what caused its death.
Soon enough, he finds that the snake's brain has turned to mush.
"That's right." He slaps his hand to his face.
He figures that his divine sense attack must have been too much for the snake. Despite its size, it is still mortal, unable to endure spiritual attacks from True Immortals, much less from Exalted Celestials like him.
"Oh well…" He can only pat the snake's belly in helplessly.
Whatever the resentment of the tusked beast he hunted towards this snake is, he helped avenge it.
With another huge beast in front of him, he has more resources to hasten his physical recovery.
