Dragon God 1

A week passed, and things were hectic. You didn't even really have the time to go out on jobs, with the council sending Rune knight's out to interview you, and then dealing with the fallout of Twilight Ogre's guild demolition, the most you could really do was train while helping master Macao 'negotiate'.

And by negotiate, you meant threaten as much as you could. That was the good thing about being a former Rune Knight, and one popular with the men. They tended to side with you in legal matters even if you look a bit wrong.

After all, the boy who risked his life to save yours on multiple occasions should get a little leeway when dealing with a thieving, extortionist fool hiding behind guild laws right?

And so things were swung in Fairy Tail's favour, and despite the damage you had done to Twilight Ogre's guildhall, they were fined with paying your guild back no less than ten million jewels, which would rise another million per year they failed to pay it back.

At least Drax was a good sparring partner, and with his help during the time he copied your magic when you sparred, he really helped you figure out how to finish off your temperature control spell, and even make a whole new spell that while taxing would make you all the more powerful.

And so a week later, early in the morning as the sun began to rise, you found yourself standing outside the gate of the closed down guild hall that used to house Fairy Tail seven years ago, a key in your hand that you were delivered last night by the Magnolia mayor.

"Now this is a guild hall!" you whistled. It was huge, possibly as big as the castle your regiment in the rune Knight's used to be stationed in. You had no idea why Macao wanted you to open things up first this morning, you were the newest guy besides Drax.

It probably had something to do with his son Romeo returning early today along with the rest of the guild members out on the mission that he was on with him.

Inserting the key into the gate, you opened it up and stepped in, before making your to the large front door and unlocking it as well.

A cloud of dust sprinkled over your form, but you ignored it and instead took in the main hall of the guild.

It was quite the sight. Dozens upon dozens of large booths, tables and chairs. An incredibly large bar setting, even a massive stage! And the winding staircases leading up stairs were quite the sight as well.

"I wonder where the library is?" you hummed, eyes tracing over the massive hall. You'd heard from Macao they had quite the collection of magic texts stored in the library here still, which they used to use to teach new young members who just joined magic if they didn't have any of their own yet.

Wakaba had fondly recalled then, helping two old members, Elfman and Lisanna Strauss work through a Take Over book, and then helped them go track down a few targets to work them on. He'd had Lisanna take over a pig he bought and a stray cat, and then beat up a Fist Bear with his magic for Elfman.

"Oh, that's probably why Macao wanted me to be the first one here," you sighed, eyes finally noting the mass of cobwebs in every corner of the hall and dust everywhere. "...I don't even have any spells with a power setting low enough for cleaning."

..This is water mage discrimination!

It might have been due to your initial lavish upbringing, but you didn't really like staying in dirty homes or buildings.

The first thing you did, was slam open all the windows in the main hall, letting the air in to get rid of some of the accumulated smell.

You let the room air out for a few minutes while you thought on how to proceed. You couldn't use your main magic, you'd never really went for something as low powered as a cleaning spell with it. You should probably look into that at some point.

In the end, you settled for just walking around the massive room, targeting the dust and cobwebs with your Reqiuip magic and dumping it all into your storage space for you to get rid of later.

Thankfully, the storage dimension was dependent on your magical power, and you had quite a ton so your storage dimension was quite vast.

It was honestly a bit surreal for you to be here. You'd dreamed of coming here as a child, and while you'd saw the outside a few times of the grand castle like building, you'd never been inside.

..Your dreams never included it being empty save for you though. What a lack luster way for a dream to come true.

In the end, it took you a mere hour. The experience you had cleaning up your living areas with the Rune Knight's and your handy dandy little storage trick with Requip cutting down the time immensely.

You honestly couldn't be bothered going upstairs and having to clean more when you found it caked in dust and more cobwebs.

So you decided to just explore the bottom area for now. And really, there wasn't that much to see down here. There were a few sitting rooms for privacy and where members could get some quiet time and relax from the main room, a kitchen behind the bar, and a stairway into a cellar that was full of empty fridges, mostly empty crates, though some were filled with some empty lacrima orbs, which you grabbed a handful of, ten in total and tossed into your Requip space just in case you ever had to store some magic in the future.

After that, there was really only one main final room on the bottom floor, the library. The room was quite narrow, not wide at all, but it had high ceilings and it was long. And from door to end, the walls were lined with massive bookshelves easily thirty feet high, each shelf packed to the limit with books.

Thick tomes of magic, textbooks, fantasy book of every genre. Thousands of them. It would take days, weeks even to sort through them all. So you just took a cursory glance through the bottom shelves for now, cleaning off dust as you went by and depositing it into your Requip space.

There were quite a few texts of magic. Sticky magic, Wood-Make, heck even Requip and Telekinesis were on a bottom row. Three stood out for you though, one on Darkenss Magic, an element that while lacking the sheer raw power of your Sea God Slayer magic, was quite versatile and could even mimic the other elements to a degree. Take Over Magic, it popped out to you because of your recent discussion about it with Wakaba and finally Eye Magic, quite the rare text of magic, probably worth a few million jewels.

Yoink! you grabbed all three, depositing two of them into your Requip space for now and kicking up on one of the comfy, albeit slightly dirty chair's and cracking the book open.

"May as well get the basics of another magic down while I wait." you mused with a hum. You still had a good two hours until anyone was due to come in for the day.
