Dragon God 2

Sometimes the human body could be quite limiting. So you decided to go ahead and learn Take Over magic while you had the time. It honestly wasn't very hard. But then, every Rune Knight was generally briefed how it worked because vulcan's were a real problem that the whole orginzation was ordered to put down on sight.

Not to mention, this book was quite high quality, and the instructions in it were clear, concise and easy to follow. An hour and a half into it and you were pretty sure you had it down pat.

You weren't going to use it right now of course, the first life form you took over set you into that type of path. Like if you first took over a magical beast, you gained a Beast Soul and could only take over living beings of that ilk.

At the same time, it was a versatile magic too. Magic abilities sometimes transferred over from the take over form to the base form, and you gained part of the life form's own magic power added to your own when you took them over.

Honestly, sometimes you didn't understand why Beast Soul users didn't just go hunt down vulcans. There were thousands of them all across Fiore, and even though their magic power volumes were pathetic, it would add up over time.

You were tempted to go after Wyvern's yourself. They had magic resistant scales, and even just a partial take over with their wings would be amazing. The odd one even had the ability to breath out an element like a slayer mage, mostly fire for normal wyvern's, but ice and such was the norm for blizzarden's.

"Cobalt!" you heard a shout resounding from the main hall, snapping you from your thoughts. You recognized the voice as master Macao's. Putting the Take Over text in your Requip space, you got up and made your way through to the main hall.

Making a note to check out any missions that could possible have some wyvern species nearby, you went made your way out to meet your master.

You found him sitting at the bar when you entered and beside him a young teenage boy a few years younger than yourself. You had to stop yourself and force yourself not to mistake him for Natsu Dragneel though when you saw his style of clothing.

That must be Romeo. You had to admit, his magic power was actually amazing for a child his age. Not as strong as yours was at his age, but close. From what Macao told you, he was the star pupil of Totomaru, the former fire mage specialist of Phantom Lord who used Rainbow Fire magic.

"Yo master!" you greeted waving a hand, then turned the wave to the younger boy, "Hey, you're Romeo right?"

"That's me," the black haired, eyeing you seriously, "You're Cobalt right? the guy who trashed Twilight Ogre and basically challenged every guild in the country."

"Guilty," you shrugged, not ashamed at all. Actually, you felt the warm burn of pride in your heart when you remembered the way that ugly guild master squealed like a pig when you kicked him around, "Got something to say?" you asked, noting the scowl forming on the boys lips.

"..We should have taken them down ourselves long before now," the boy growled, clenching his fists hard, dark flames spring into existence around them, "It makes Fairy Tail look weak that we had to rely on a new member to do it for us."

Macao sighed, waving his hand through the air, and you noticed now that he had a bunch of mission requests in his grasp, "Cobalt's much stronger than anyone in the guild currently Romeo, we would have suffered quite a few casualties assaulting a massive guild like that," the blue haired master rebuked gently, "Honestly, he's stronger than Natsu. I'm already putting through the paperwork to get him promoted to an S-rank mage."

"You are?" you blinked. That was news to you. And everyone seemed to use Natsu Dragneel as a measuring stick. And you honestly weren't sure you were stronger than him. He wasn't ranked as an S-rank mage, but it was known that he'd taken down the likes of Laxus Dreyar, the second strongest S-rank mage of Fairy Tail seven years ago before he got booted out and Jellal Fernandez an ex Wizard Saint, who gained that rank with a mere half of his power through a thought projection.

You couldn't beat Jura, not yet. And estimates put Jellal above him. so why the hell did these people talk about Natsu Dragneel as if he wasn't an absolute monster? Older Rune Knights used to tell horror stories of running into that guy and trying to arrest him for property damage.

"You're definitely around the S-rank level Cobalt, and it should hopefully get you out of my hair for a a few days when you take missions like that on," the older guild master chuckled, "Here, take a look at these, it's the first set of missions you 'convinced' Twilight Ogre's master to pass over to us from now on."

Oh yeah, you did demand that as well at some point didn't you. And your old subordinates looked the other way during that discussion. Corruption could be fun sometimes. There was a total of eleven job requests, most of them B-ranked and two A-ranks.

Nice. You were so glad you'd demanded high paying jobs from that idiot. It sure would come in handy for raising the rank of Fairy Tail.

"Ooh a Blizzardvern!" you gushed looking over one of the A-rank missions. That would be amazing to use your new magic on, and with its wings you could just fly off to any of your other jobs. sure it would be taxing on the stamina, but fuck conventional means, you're the Sea God Slayer and are well stocked up on water.

Honestly, all of these are interesting looking. "I'll take em all." you decided.

"Eh?" Romeo blinked.

"No way!" Macao shouted, bouncing up and karate chopping you on the head, "Two and no more ya damn monster!"

"Tch, stingy," you pouted, before rolling your eyes and waving him off, "Fine fine, just gimme the Blizzardvern job and the....and the haunted mountain, whatever's up there is probably tough if it's scaring all the other monsters away." you continued, taking the two job notices and handing them over.

"That's fine," Macao nodded, taking them from you, "What about Drax, are you taking him with you?"

"Drax?" Romeo's face scrunched up in confusion.

"Nah," you replied, "I want him to generally be around humans more and learn how society generally works better so he won't run into trouble if he takes a job himself later."

"Fair enough I suppose," Macao shrugged, "Just don't go and disappear somewhere and train when you get back. You still need to meet the rest who just back."

"Yeah yeah," you waved him off, "Later Macao, you to Romeo, it was nice to meet you, but I wanna go check something out!" you bid them goodbye eagerly and walked towards the guild exit.

"Err...you to?" Romeo replied awkwardly, "...He's a lot like Natsu-nii."

"I know right?" Macao bemoaned behind you, "Trying to reason with him is a pain in the ass sometimes."
