Dragon God 3

There were two great things about hunting a Blizzardvern. One, this quest specifically was a council job, so you didn't really need to go bother yourself and talk to lots of people before getting the job done and moving on. The job paper recorded shit itself.

The second, was that, wyvern species were so, so easy to find. They were highly prideful and couldn't take a challenge laying down. The genes from being descended from the mighty and proud dragon race you supposed. All you had to do was flare your magic high near its nesting grounds and it would take it as a challenge.

In an open snowy plain near the base of Mount Hakobe, you flared your power hard, a tower of thick sea green magical energy swirling into existence around you, blowing the metres of snow beneath and around you away and swirling it up into a miniature snow storm around you.

"REAAAAAAAAAAGGHHHH!" a bone rattling roar echoed throughout the the snowy mountain rage and a massive form previously camouflaged by the white mountaintops and snowy clouds dove down towards you, massive maw open wide, teeth as long as your arm set to bite through you as it dived.

"You're a big one aren't you?" you whistled, "You must have been here a while now to have grown this big."

Blizzardvern were herbivores, it was generally decided to let them be if they nested away from human settlements. It was only when they started attacking human settlements for their food they became a problem.

Those scales would be a pain to get through normally. But you had an idea. "Sea God's Trident!" you declared, ebony black sea water swirling and compressing into a long three pronged trident, "Sea God's Shift!" you followed up, pressing free hand into the trident and watched as it sizzled in your hand a bit as the temperature rose from cold, to hot enough to melt through stone.

The massive ice attribute closed in fast, but not quite fast enough to keep up with your own movement speed. You jumped, just as it crashed into your spot massive talon tipped feet first and ripped massive boulder sized chunks out of the ground.

"Sea God's Blazing Trident!" you roared from your position in the air above it, winding the trident over your head and then throwing it with all your power into the beasts back.

It didn't even see it coming and a massive roar left its mouth, blood flying and dying the sand beneath it red. The trident a second later bounced into the air after stabbing into it.

"A flesh wound huh?" you mused, looking down at the beast as you fell towards it, seeing the gash on its back. Even with basically applying a fire attribute to your Sea God Slayer attack, one with the most piercing power at that, it barely got through those scales, "That's some scary magic resistance right there!" you barked out a laugh of excitement.

It thrashed its body from side to side, trying to shake off the pain and wasn't paying attention to you!

"Sea God's Kraken!" you shouted, and ten massive tentacles of water sprouted from your back and lashed out below you, wrapping up its legs, wings, torso and neck tightly.

Then, dark ebony water spiralled around your right fist and using your tentacles wrapped around the massive ice draconian you pulled yourself down even faster, zipping through the distance like a bullet.

When you reached it in the blink of an eye later, you lashed out with your fist, "Sea God's Crushing Fist!" you shouted and drove a powerful punch into the scaled beasts giant head.

It roared as it went down, piledrived face first into the frozen concrete below it. A boulder sized crater formed under it from the sheer force of its impact into the ground and debris rained down from the air around you.

"Woah!" you blinked in surprise, barely keeping your balance as it struggled mightily, even with your tentacles holding it in place and your fist driving it face first into the ground, "You're quite tenacious huh?" you mused with a laugh.

This guy just didn't want to go down and could take quite a beating. A hit like that would deal quite a bit of damage to even the standard S-rank mage. Hell, it would have outright killed a normal wyvern.

"I like you!" you told it, squeezing your fingers into its scaled skull hard.

Well now that you have it pinned securely, now is as good a time as anyway. "Take Over!" you commanded, spreading your magic power along the giant beasts body in a wave of sparkling gold light.

As it spread over its body, the blizzardvern roared and struggled with all its might, but to no avail, with your grip over it with your Kraken technique, it just had no purchase or leverage to throw you off.

You felt as your magic took hold fully around it, and then you yanked mentally, and the golden light fizzled out, and with it, the blizzardvern itself.

"GH!" you dropped to your knees, throbbing pain in your head. A roar resounded in your ears, but you called up the lost primordial art of your main magic, infusing your very soul with it and beat the force threatening to burst out back with it, "Settle down!" you hissed.

You felt the blizzardvern rage against your power, but just like against the tentacles, it couldn't. "Live on in me!" you growled, "As long as you don't try to overthrow me, you can live peacefully within my soul, but if you don't calm down I'll crush you and just take what I want!" to punctuate your point, you swirled your magic inwardly and pressed down on its own like the ocean with your god slaying power.

You heard the blizzardvern roar one last time within you, before falling silent, obediently backing down, and almost immedaitely you felt it. A rush of power. It wasn't massively major or anything, but it was noticeable.

It felt like a rush of endorphins running through your body, "Oh yeah," you groaned, "That's some good shit!"

Standing up from where you had fallen into a crouch after the beast disappeared within you you cracked your neck before holding your hand out, the spell words needed appearing in your mind by instinct, "Dragon Soul: Blizzard!" you intoned and golden light swirled around your hand, blocking it from view, then disappearing a moment later to show your arm, covered in thick, powerful rigid white scales right up to the elbow, your nails lengthened into black, incredibly sharp claws. "Now this is nice!"

You experimented a bit with your new abilities for a little while. It was quite simple to use you noted, and you had no problem using a full body take over. Though, the Blizzardvern's form wasn't the greatest for it. It worked better in a partial take over for you. You especially liked having the scaled and clawed arms, and bringing out its wings.

Once you were sure you had gotten a hang on what you needed, and were sure you could fly the distance to the Haunted Mountain's, you decided it was time to get a move on.

"But first!" you said to yourself, walking over to a rocky outcropping you'd placed a recording lacrima on, "This should be some good publicity once I edit out a bit few bits." you mused.

Honestly, your guild got a lot of publicity again for the first time in years just because you showboated after kicking Twilight Ogre's ass. It would be way quicker to get popular again by just broadcasting all your badass deeds

You stowed it in your Requip space for now, before turning towards the East, the direction of the Haunted Mines. "Take Over: Dragon Soul!" you declared and golden light shimmered around your back, before two massive, white scaled wings burst out of your back. You gave the large, mighty wings a few test flaps that blew snow back and forth and kicked up wind, before jumping into the air, and with two before flaps, flew off into sky, albeit, a tad unsteadily.
