Drunkard's Secret Stash

The leader of the Black Paradoxical Blade Guild charged at Leo with his black blade, but Leo stood still and told Drunkard, "Don't move." Then, he took a step forward and blocked the leader's blade with just two fingers. Leo's health remained unchanged.

The leader struck again, and Leo still blocked it with the same two fingers. Again, his health remained the same. The leader seemed to realize something was off.

His black blade was his most powerful weapon, and he relied on it to maintain his position as the leader of the fearsome guild.

He was confident that even against the top player, he could instantly kill them with his terrifying " Assassin's Deceptive Blade."

"Die!" The leader shouted, chopping down with all his might, thinking that if Leo dared to block it again, he would undoubtedly die. However, with a crisp "ping" sound, the black blade broke into two pieces.

The leader looked at the broken blade on the ground, mumbling, "Impossible, it still had over 1,000 durability points... Impossible..."

"Oh dear, I didn't control my strength well," Leo said with a regretful look, "What a pity, this blade could have sold for a lot of gold coins at the auction house." Then, Leo looked up at the leader and asked, "Hey, are you going to pay me the 2 million you owe me?"

"Bastard, I'll kill you!" The leader, now furious, charged at Leo without considering whether he could win or not. Leo shook his head, "Alright, it seems you can't pay now." He then used two fingers to point at the leader's forehead, killing him instantly.

After the leader died, a dark green jade pendant fell to the ground. Leo picked it up and said, "Wow, I made a fortune today."

"What's that?" Drunkard asked, puzzled.

"Don't you know? Well, it's normal since you haven't joined a guild before," Leo said with a smile, "This is the key to the guild treasury... Now, the newbie village guilds don't have their own fixed bases, so they store their guild's valuables in the village treasury. This jade pendant is held by the guild leaders and serves as a key to access the treasury."

Drunkard excitedly said, "Big brother, aren't you rich now? This is the treasury of one of the top ten guilds! There must be a lot of money in there!"

"Yes, that's why I said I made a fortune today," Leo smiled, putting the jade pendant back into his backpack. He then pointed to the scattered weapons and equipment on the ground, "These are the items dropped by the Black Paradoxical Blade Guild members. Pick them all up, and when you have time, take them to the auction house. Record how much they sell for and send the money to my tavern."

Drunkard quickly nodded and said, "No problem, big brother."

"Once you've collected all the items, I'll take you somewhere," Leo said with his arms crossed.

"Where?" Drunkard looked up, puzzled.

"Didn't you tell me earlier that all the wine in the newbie village had been bought up?" Leo smiled and said, "I bet a certain quest has been discovered, and the reward for that quest is extraordinary. How can we not join in?"

…..

In a small grove south of the newbie village, there was a thatched hut.

The hut looked shabby, and every passing player searched it, hoping to find some hidden treasure, but they only found empty wine jars.

The hut was home to an old man with a wine-stained nose, who appeared and disappeared mysteriously. Many lucky players had encountered him and tried to strike up a conversation, but they all came up empty-handed.

Because this old man was simply too outrageous.

When players talked to him, no matter what they said, his first response was always, "Do you have any wine?" After he asked this, he would ignore whatever the players said next.

At this point, some clever players would go to the village tavern or grocery store to buy wine for the old man. He would drink it all in one gulp, smack his lips, and then ask, "Is there any more?"

Impatient players would give up, thinking the old man was insane, while patient and clever players would run back to the village, buy several more jugs of wine, and bring them back.

The second jug, the third jug, the fourth jug...

No matter how much wine he was given, the old man would drink it all, as if his stomach could never be filled.

But no matter how much he drank, he would only ask, "Is there any more wine?"

Gradually, all the players came to believe that the old man was a character designed by the game to toy with them.

Because he was never satisfied. The most patient player spent a lot of money buying dozens of jugs of wine, but he still couldn't satisfy the old man.

Later, no players visited the thatched hut anymore.

When Leo brought Drunkard to the grove, they found the area had been sealed off by a large guild.

"Don't go any further, there are no monsters to fight inside," a man with a sword blocked their way, saying, "The Ink Dragon Guild has important business here. You'd better stay away!"

Drunkard was about to confront the man but was stopped by Leo.

"Let's go." Leo walked in a different direction.

Drunkard, seeing his big brother leave, could only follow.

"Big brother, aren't we going in?"

"Of course we're going in," Leo said, "but I don't want to alert them. If I'm not mistaken, the people inside are using all the wine from the newbie village to 'bribe' the old man... We'll sneak in quietly later and reap the benefits."

Drunkard scratched his head and said, "Big brother, I don't quite understand. You're already so strong. What kind of valuable treasure inside can attract you?"

"It's not just any treasure, but the most valuable and best item at this stage," Leo laughed, "Have you ever heard of the 'Drunkard's Secret Stash'?"
