"Are you sure that this is working? I don't feel like I'm moving anywhere at all." Lukas spoke as he was apparently supposed to be flying forwards at speeds that he couldn't comprehend according to Bethany but he didn't see anything coming into view nor could he feel anything resisting his supposedly blinding speeds. "In this place, there is no air resistance or anything of the sort, it's natural that you wouldn't feel like you're fast in an area like this." Bethany explained which seemed to make sense in Lukas' mind but he couldn't stop his doubts that were slowly growing within his mind. "Surely we would've seen something by now if we were actually going somewhere, right?" Lukas asked as he was now incredibly concerned as any child would be in his position. With a sigh, Bethany responded in a tired voice. "I've just realised how much I'm going to have to teach you about the real world, you mortals live such simple, ignorant lives." Lukas simply rolled his eyes as he felt increasingly annoyed to Beth's high and mighty way of speaking as if she's constantly looking down upon him. "You know, with this thing in my possession, I'm about as powerful as you, right? I don't think I'm really much of a 'mortal' anymore." Lukas expressed all of his frustration in a few words although he was holding back on revealing just how frustrated he was.
"Maybe so but you're still not accustomed to everything that having this power grants you... so you're still a mortal in my eyes. After all, if you can't comprehend the power that you have then there really is no point to you having it in the first place." Bethany replied with her same disinterested tone. "Can you at least try to take me seriously? If not then I'd probably just prefer to float around without you constantly speaking to me." Lukas asked as he was now making it obvious that Bethany was angering him. "Believe it or not, I AM trying to take you seriously... I'm just not being very successful at doing that when half the time you just sound like a whiny brat seeking attention." Bethany stated without really considering the words that she spoke. "It seems to me that you might be projecting a bit." Lukas guessed as ever since Bethany began to insult him, he wasn't really paying that much attention to what she said although it was still negatively affecting him.
"I've existed for long enough to know whether I'm projecting or not, you just can't accept the truth." Bethany replied which made Lukas realise just how much he hated her at that moment. This woman had destroyed his home and his life along with it, she had forced him into a new and possibly dangerous world and now she's making it worse by constantly insulting him as he attempts to make progress. "What the hell is wrong with you!?" Lukas suddenly yelled which genuinely seemed to shock Bethany. Before she could even respond to this outburst, Lukas continued to speak. "Do you even understand the power that I'm holding right now? Since you told me how to use the Eye of Extinction, I know now that I could just be rid of you permanently if I wanted to so if I was you, I'd stop being so damn egotistical!" Lukas practically screamed as the stress had just kept building up over time and he had finally reached a breaking point. "Stop yelling like that, you might attract some unwanted attention!" Bethany demanded in hushed whispers.
"Stop looking for excuses to shut me up! There's nobody here! If you're that desperate to escape the sound of my voice then maybe I should just-" Lukas began saying before an alarmingly loud and distorted screech was heard behind him. "Get the hell out of here... right now." Bethany ordered Lukas in an oddly fearful tone which he didn't ever expect to hear from her. Lukas was completely frozen from fear; he wanted to run away but at the same time, his curiosity was getting the better of him... he wanted to know what made that unnerving sound especially considering the fact that he could now hear what seemed to be organic materials grotesquely squishing and moving together. Without another thought, he turned around and...
Without a second thought, he turned around and...
Without any more thoughts passing through his mind, he turned around and...
There was a large black mass without any semblance of anything really...
There was a man stood there, covered in a black substance with a single glowing blue eye on the right side of his face and tentacles emerging from his back that appeared to be made from the substance...
There was a metallic object in the shape of a human stood there with four thin green lights that were parallel to each other on each side of its face...
There was a blue, slightly transparent man stood floating there with no facial features, not even eyes although Lukas could see a heart floating in their chest...
There was a heavily armoured man stood there with a long, flowing blue cape that was attached to all of the golden battle armour, Lukas knew who this man was, he had read about him in all of the stories that...
There was a boy standing there, a young boy that looked identical to Lukas whose appearance then quickly flickered like static on a TV screen as their skin turned purple and their eyes turned a bright yellow...
There was a girl standing there who Lukas recognised but he couldn't tell from where; her hair was long and bright blue, her skin was pale and she looked like the most PUR3 B31NG 1N 7H3 W0RLD...
There was... nobody.
There was... nobody.
There... was nobody 4NYM0R3.

...There was a boy standing there... Lukas didn't recognise him but he recognised him perfectly. He had met him before but had never seen him before in his life. They were Lukas' B3S7 FR13ND and that's why Lukas wanted to kill them so badly. They were his GR347357 FR13ND in the world that ruined his life so many times over to the point where he saw how much 7H3Y C4R3D F0R H1M. He didn't know what was happening but he understood it all.
