There was a pause of silence after Marcius said those words. The Eternal Flames Phoenix looked shocked as she listened to Marcius's reason for throwing down with her in the sky. For a second, she looked at the heir of the Aemilia clan as if he was some sort of fool.

Then, the realization was what entered the eyes of the fiery primal spirit beast. She finally connected all the dots.

"You got the original soul medium, right? This was the reason why my prideful brother willingly became your spirit beast in the first place." She spoke as a matter of fact. Now, all of the actions of this seemingly foolish human made sense for the Eternal Flames Phoenix.
