"Are you sure it is the duke himself who has come?" Marcius asked as he walked down the tower with measured steps.

Behind him, Nathenial, Ser Janus, and Toros walked at the same speed. They were not in a hurry as the entourage from the dukedom of Farnese was still quite far away.

"Yes, young master. As you have suggested, we have sent someone who has seen the duke before with the contingent that is going to lead the guests here. They have sent back a rider informing us of the fact that the duke is the person being escorted by the knights."

Marcius gave a nod to indicate that he understood. There were quite a few within the Aemilia clan who had seen the duke before. They were mostly those who had accompanied Marcius and his father when they went to the capital of the Farnese clan. If such a person had identified the duke, it would be a fact that the duke himself was coming to see the Aemilia clan.
