A hint

So the only remaining thing for him to do now as a huntsman is to make sure that the monster that caused all this destruction does not see the next morning.

Looking around to see if he could catch a glimpse of any other thing that he could use as a clue, Lucien decided to search the corpses of the ghouls and see if he could find anything that may be of use to him.

But first, he needed to play the policeman's radio transmitter and see if it provided any clue too.

Although he didn't want to. But because of the position that he is placed in now, he has no other choice than to ignore the policeman's hellish screams as he kept his ears perked up for any other details.

"As expected, there's nothing here" Lucien said as he crushed the radio transmitter with his bare hands until it crumbled to bits and pieces.

The remains of the device laid on the ground, broken and scattered in a way that putting it together again would be impossible.

Although he didn't know why the police hasn't been here to take care of the crime scene and had merely sealed off the surroundings leaving everything untouched, even the dead policeman and their weapons.

Nevertheless, it might be that they were waiting for someone. Someone who will be able to tell them what they are looking at.

Because any sane mind who has taken a look at this crime scene could tell that something wasn't right and that whatever had happened here wasn't in any way natural.

And although he didn't know who that someone was, it was probably a good thing that they left the scene untouched.

Because it would make it easier for him to find an explanation of the events that had taken place here.

Moving through the corpses of the ghouls one by one as he searched through clothes, Lucien was already getting impatient as the feeling to solve this case sooner than later grew slowly in his heart.

Taking a deep breath as he expelled the negative thoughts that were trying to cloud his judgment, Lucien breathed calmly as he arrived at the sixth corpse.

Searching the clothes carefully, Lucien made sure that he left no pocket unturned until he finally found something that got his attention.

Grabbing the piece of paper that had fallen off the pocket of the man's trousers, Lucien picked up a look through the words that were written on it.

Moving over to the second corpse that he had searched previously, Lucien brought out a similar paper from the dead woman's pocket and matched the two together.

Seeing that bought pieces of paper were identical, Lucien scoured through them.

It seemed to be a ticket for some kind of event.

"Fête de induction -invité spécial" Lucien who had stayed in France for almost half his life and was well educated enough to read and understand French, quickly understood what those words meant.

"Hébergé par 'Les Loups de France. Time- 11 : 00 pm. Venue - Hôtel d'éclat d'étoile ".

"So there's something like this going on in this city. A party this big would surely have some important guests, and yet why are these ghouls part of the special invitees?" Lucien scrunched his eyebrows as he thought about it.

'And who the hell are the 'Wolves of France? Are they some kind of gang?'.

"No, forget it. I finally have a clue, and where next to look" Lucien added as he placed the tickets in his pocket.

Glancing around the room that was filled with both the corpses of humans and monsters, Lucien sighed as he knew what he had to do next.

No matter the situation, the existence of the supernatural world must never be exposed to the public.

Or else the consequences of such a situation would be unimaginable.

And since the organization hasn't yet collected the dead bodies of the ghouls, the only way for him to make sure this secret remained hidden is to destroy every last piece of evidence.

Because only God knows what would happen if the bodies of these ghouls were to go under a knife and it is discovered that the insides of these monsters weren't anything like that of a normal human being.

He couldn't even imagine the newspaper the next morning if such a thing were to happen. The results will be shocking as the media will have a field day with it.

And yet, that also includes the several human dead bodies.

'Apart from being given a painful death, they won't also be given a proper' Lucien thought as he began bringing the dead bodies together.

Stacking them on top of each other until they formed a small pile of corpses.

"That should be all of them" Lucien said as he walked over to the lamps that kept the room dimly lit.

Lucien figured out that the lamps were added to the room because the wires in the abandoned building were faulty and couldn't properly conduct the electricity passing through it.

Something which had already been confirmed as he passed through the hallways that led to this room, which resulted in a light bulb exploding after he had tried to brighten up his surroundings a little.

Pouring the lamp oil on the piles of dead bodies, Lucien made sure that it was enough to spread across the whole room.

And even if it wasn't enough, he was sure that the fire will spread across the building, and if it wasn't put out immediately, he was sure that the bodies would have been burned to ashes till then.

Adding more lamp oil to the corpses of the ghouls, Lucien made sure to use all the lamp oil that he could find while he kept one that he would use to light it up in flames separately.

"That should do it," Lucien said as his nose twitched.

He could smell the liquid paraffin that heavily permeated the atmosphere, and he didn't like it.
