Little Taotie returned home, feeling utterly gloomy.
Hua Jinyan knocked on the door.
Little Taotie mumbled, "I was asleep."
Hua Jinyan chuckled, "So are you sleep-talking now?"
Little Taotie was choked up.
Hua Jinyan knocked on the door again, "May I visit your dreams and talk in dreams with you?"
Little Taotie pursed her lips, feeling awkward, "Well...okay then."
She got out of bed, hugged her teddy bear, went to the door, opened it, and looked down, avoiding eye contact with Hua Jinyan who stood at the door.
Seeing her downcast, Hua Jinyan frowned.
He had heard that an accident had occurred during the shooting.
He didn't know who had chosen the location, but to think such a thing could happen—it turned out there was even a skeleton on the island.
Hua Jinyan worried inwardly: Had she been frightened?
But considering Little Taotie was normally unafraid even when facing terrifying Evil Spirits, it seemed unlikely that she had been scared.
So why was she gloomy?
