Zeke steps in front of Damien and knocks on the door, slowly pushing it open with his tapping knuckles while searching the visible interior from his position at the entrance. Stepping back, he places his hand on Damien’s chest, stopping him from shoving him out of the way and bursting inside, “I don’t think you shou–!” 


“Don’t tell me she–!” Panic strikes throughout Damien’s entire being, his legs telling him to run inside as the color in his face fades. Zeke turns quickly to block his path, grabbing him by the shoulders and shaking him. 


“No! Something’s happened here!” He shouts at Damien as he continues to struggle, fighting to hurry inside to see what Zeke saw. 


“We must call the police!” Zeke keeps a firm hand on Damien’s shoulder as his body fills the doorway. Damien clutches the door frame at his sides, searching around the entryway and living room to see items thrown around amidst broken glass.
