Chapter 17: Harvey

I let out a sigh of exasperation as I watched the email fly away. Quinn stepped out from the back room holding a large stack of comics, bags, and boards. He took a seat next to me at the counter and started working.

“So? When are you breaking up with Kate?” he said bluntly and not even looking at me. I shifted on my stool uncomfortably. “You are going to break up with her right?”

“I don’t really know…” and I did know but I had no reason to break up with her. “I mean we are doing fine and we have fun and we can talk. I just don’t know?” I said kind of pleading with him to help me out. “Do you love her?” he asked actually making eye contact. “Honestly, no,” I said.

The words felt weird to say. “I mean we just are not at that point yet I guess. I could see myself loving her but I just don’t feel that way right now.” He kept bagging and boarding comics without missing a beat. “You have been dating for a while now right?”
