Chapter 33: The House Party

Rory was relieved the PR Outing with Micah had gone better than expected. Not only had they spent the afternoon walking through the park, giving photographers ample time to take photos, she discovered that he wasn’t completely intolerable.

To her surprise, they had more in common than she expected, not just with their taste in books and movies, but their mutual love for travel–which Micah had done way more than her.

When he finished the date by inviting her to his sister’s house party the next day, she’d said yes immediately. She had to assume that his sister could either shift into a wolf like him or knew about it.

Either way, the opportunity to meet more people in Micah’s social circle would only expand Rory’s ability to make a believable, reputable story. And for something as unbelievable as this, she’d need as much proof as she could get.

Rory had assumed it was another PR setup, but when she told Rachel about it later that evening, Rachel had been in the dark.
