Chapter 49: The Rogue One

As Libby spun around in her wolf form, she growled, flashing her fangs and advancing on them. Micah anticipated her next moves.

Libby launched into the air, aiming for Jessa’s throat. Micah shoved Jessa backwards, sliding in front of her and ramming his shoulder into Libby. Her wolf form cried out as she slammed into the ground.

It was the worst possible place for Libby to shift. Magic and fear was a dangerous combination. Only half a dozen people were on the second floor – the rest of the people dancing in the club below had no idea what was happening.

Jessa’s security advanced on Libby, but when the energy shot out of his palm, Libby ducked, and his power slammed into a group of people behind her. The force lifted them into the air and they crashed through the railing, landing on the dance floor below.
