Chapter 15: Trial of Let There Be Light and Moss

“Hold it right there, Corpse!” a guard shouted as he saw Mason wandering around in the middle of one of the maze hallways.

“Uh oh,” Mason mumbled to himself as he began to run away from the guard in pursuit. Making a right turn, Mason came up on another dead end in the maze and was trapped! Without any time to escape, the guard made the same right turn as him and had him cornered! Drawing his sword and pointing it at Mason’s chest, the guard took advantage of a defenseless Mason and kicked him in the gut, sending Mason into the maze wall.

“There’s no escape. Surrender!” the guard said as he pointed his sword at Mason’s face. A hurt Mason held his gut with one hand in pain and comforted the back of his neck with the other hand as it had slammed up against the wall.
