Chapter 32: Trial of the Shanty Town

With Apollo serving as the group’s personal tour guide, he, Oswald, Montez, and Mason all had a trouble-free venture towards the old shanty town located in the western section of the island. No guards were to be seen, no traps were in their path, and much to Montez’s delight, not a single zombie was after them. But that did not mean trouble was not still afoot.

“There it is, boys,” Apollo said with a great deal of pride in his voice, pointing at their destination from the top of a tall hill.

Mason and Montez made their way to the top of the hill and looked at the town in its entirety. Mason was taken aback by the disgusting conditions the small village was in. Every single building was run down, trash and litter were spilled everywhere, rats could be seen roaming the paths freely, and it looked as if a giant dirt storm had poured over the entire community.

“Isn’t it beautiful?” Apollo asked them innocently.
