I stood in front of my mirror half-naked staring at my body like I do every single night of my life before I go to sleep. Staring at my body in disgust, I hated my body thus hating myself. I looked at my sagging stomach gripping it with my hands, twisting the fats in my stomach trying to get them to disappear. I then stretch my arms wide to look at the sagging fat in my underarm. I scanned my body from head to toe wishing that I was someone else. Stretch marks were all over my body from the neck to my thighs. My short black hair had split ends that I did not bother to cut off. I scanned my face for any acne, then my skin for any dark spots but that is hard considering the fact that I am dark in complexion. I also hated the color of my skin, I even tried to bleach my skin a few times last year but none of the medical creams I bought worked and so, I gave up.

“Gosh, I am fat” I murmur to myself while still looking at the mirror. After staring at myself for what seemed like an hour I decided to wear my nightgown and go to bed dreaming of what was to come the next day.

“Wake up! It’s your first day as a senior in high school.” said my mom. “Don’t make a bad reputation for being late on your first day.” Continuing with disgust slightly showing in her facial expression when her nose recognized the stench in my room.

“Okay!” I scream with my voice still raspy at my mom who stood in front of my bed in shock.

I love my sleep, when someone disturbs my sleep I kind of go off at them thus being cranky every morning. My mother never did get used to it though she wakes me up every single day. I open my eyes to find my mother staring at me with concern. Her long dark hair is tied in a ponytail, her black eyes scanning my face trying to find an explanation for my sudden outburst. I sit down on my bed and extend my arm toward her. She takes it and pulls me out of the bed.

"Wake up. Are you okay Eyllah Wake up!" I felt someone shaking me vigorously.

"What let me sleep. Stop shaking me." I cried out.

"Eyllah snap out of it please!" A voice shouted. I opened my eyes to find Andrew looking down at me with a worried expression on his face.

"What is wrong with you? Are you not feeling well?" He asked me.

"What happened ?" I asked still hazy from what happened.

"You fainted on the kitchen floor. I carried you to one of the bedrooms." He said. That was when I realized my surroundings. I was in a grey-themed room that had different sculptures engraved on the wall. The curtains were navy blue which matched the sheets on the bed. A large Tv was mounted on the wall and next to it was a large dressing table. On my right, there was a huge mirror that faced the bed. Looking at myself in the mirror made me confused. My hair was disheveled and my makeup was messed up.

" How long has it been since I passed out?" I asked him.

"It has only been thirty minutes." He said. I tried to sit up from the bed but I was drained.

"Don't sit up please just rest. I will be back." He said as he got up from the chair he was sitting on and headed towards the door.

"Where are you going?" I asked him.

"To get some water. I will be back don't worry." He opened the door and left. What happened to me? What was that dream all about? I definitely know that was not me. Why am I dreaming of random things? Poor girl, It's like I am reading someone's private journals. I lay still at the bed looking directly at the ceiling. The ceiling had drawings of people in a city. They looked busy going on with their lives in a busy city. I wondered whose room is this. Whoever's room it is he has weird tastes. I closed my eyes to try and recollect my thoughts. How can this happen to me at a party? I definitely did not drink anything. People will just think that I was drugged. I turned my head to face the mirror. I looked like a mess how am I going to get myself cleaned up. The door opened and Andrew got in with a tray. On the tray, there was a jug full of water and an empty glass beside it.

"Did I take too long?" He asked.

"No," I said. He came to the bedside table and placed the tray on top. He poured water into the glass and gave it to me. I hesitated.

"Don't worry, it is not drugged. It is just pure clean bottled water." He smiled at me then handed the glass to me. I took a sip of the water and found it refreshing. Within seconds I had already finished drinking the water. Andrew looked at me with worry.

"Could you please tell me what happened to you?" He asked.

"I don't know," I answered honestly.

"Does this thing happen often?" He looked genuinely concerned for my well-being.

"No. This is the first time and I am hoping the last." I said. I sat up on the bed

"Did you come with anyone?" He asked. That was when I remembered Cane.

"Yes, could you please look for someone named Cane and tell him where I am I don't think I can stand yet," I told him. He nodded and left the room. This day was the worst I am at a party and I am sick what is wrong with me? As I was deep in my thoughts I heard a soft knock a the door. Who could that be?
