I danced to the beat of the music with Cane by my side. I did not know I would enjoy the party this much everyone seems to mind their own business and that was what made me happy. I did not want people to see my sloppy dancing.

"I will be back," said Cane " I am just going to get us some drinks." I nodded and continued dancing completely lost in the music. Suddenly I felt hands gripping my waist on both sides. Because I was lost in the moment I remembered the words Cane said to me go with the flow not bothering to turn around, I continued dancing and the body behind me adjusted to my rhythm. I swayed my hips left then right and repeated the process till I was out of breath. I leaned my head back on the man's chest and continued dancing. He leaned his head forward as if to hug me. I could feel his breath on my neck.

"I didn't know you were good at teasing Eyllah." He whispered in my ear. My eyes widened as the sound of his voice registered in the back of my mind. I was dancing with Zander and not Cane. I turned to see Zander smirking at me. He continued "You dance so seductively how could I just watch you from afar." From up close Zander's features were more defined and he was honestly good-looking. He had deep green eyes almost aqua and a square-shaped jawline with thin pink lips. He looked at me hungrily as if he wanted to devour me there and then. I tried to move a step back that only made him harden his grip on me.

"Where do you think you are going? I still want to dance with you." He started to move his body making me sway left and right to the beat.

"Could you please let go of me?" I stared at him. He shook his head and continued dancing.

"I am not joking Zander let me go," I said with a more authoritative voice. He looked down at me and patted my head.

"Are you drunk?" I asked him

"No, I am not drunk and I am not letting you out of my sight until Cane returns." How did those two become friends? They barely talked to each other at school. Cane did not like Zander because he was a player. Cane simply doesn't like how Zander uses girls. If he sees me now with Zander he is going to be pissed that I am sure of. He gave me a tight hug and rested his head on mine. I got a whiff of his cologne which was most intoxicating. He smelled of chocolate mint two things that I love the most. Coming back to my senses I tried to wiggle away.

"You do know you are not my boyfriend to act so protectively over me," I told him while still trying to break free. He was so close to me I could even feel his heartbeat. The goodness of being taller than me. I moved my gaze from his chest towards his eyes but I stopped on his lips. What was I thinking? I am trying to break free and all I can think of are those pink lips of his I have to get a grip.

"Eyllah please relax I promise I won't do anything to you." He whispered. That made me realize that I was stiff in his embrace. No one has ever come close to me in such a manner, not even Cane. This was new to me. I had this warm tingly feeling in me when he rubbed my back that soothed me. His repeated actions made me relax in his arms and I got more comfortable with him. Just as I was about to give in a hand grabbed my underarm and spun me forcefully.

"What do you think you are doing?" It was Cane. Surprisingly he did not seem pissed in fact he looked happy like he was expecting this to happen.

"I did not know that you can mingle easily. If I did I would have come with you to parties that I was invited to," He said. my face heated at his remark feeling embarrassed at the position he found me in. In his hand, he had two drinks with some blue fluid in them. Without thinking I took one of the cups with the purpose of drinking it when Cane snatched the drink back.

"This is not for you." He yelled.

"Who is it for?" I asked irritated by him.

"it's none of your concern ." He stated. He was really getting on my nerves today. A moment ago he said he is getting both of our drinks and now he has bailed on me what was wrong with him?

" What is the point of having two cups?" I asked him

"If you want a drink so bad go and make yourself one." He grinned at me."I will be back."

"Wait where are you going?" I asked. Is he leaving me again? He just came back.

"That is none of your concern." He stated. He then took a big gulp from one of the cups and smirked.

"Go and explore the house or something I will be back I promise." at least I will have Zander with me. I turned to face the spot where Zander was standing but he had already left. I scanned the whole room only to find him flirting with other girls. How typical of him why did I even have a crush on him? His personality is not that good.

"He is that fast huh?" I said while looking at where Zander was. I turned back to Cane only to find that he had already left. Great, I was alone at a party where I barely know anyone. With a deep sigh, I decide to follow Cane's advice and go to explore the house.
